Triple Head - Ultra Widescreen?

Post by warfire1 »

Do the dev's have any plans to get SoR to support Triple heading? i.e. Ultra Widescreen 15:4 or 4:1?

See this article

and this website

WoW now supports it and Oblivion does out of the box.. I'd be reallllly happy if SoR supported it when this device is out.

Otherwise.. I'd like to use my windows set up of 2 screens (dual head) on Ryzom.. is this possible at all?

Thanks!

Depends what you mean by supporting it. You can set the resolution of the window to whatever size you want, but as far as I know, the game will only display in 4:3 stretched into whatever size you put it as. I play on a widescreen laptop and a dualscreen pc (2nd screen for other apps only). The game looks obviously different on the widescreen despite both windows being at the same resolution - I'm pretty sure trying to stretch SoR over a triple head will result in a view squat, wide view of Atys :(

(Short answer: Unless I missed something it doesn't even support 'normal' widescreen at the moment)

You'll need to send in a support ticket to ask if you can change the value in the client.cfg. They gave me permission to change it to TFT 1280x1024's 5:4 (1.25) when I asked :)

Thanks, that's really helpful

I currently use 1920x1200 on my widescreen laptop but 90% of the time have another monitor attached which would be handy to use.

Sadly it seems that Ryzom lags slightly when it comes to graphical bells and whistles.

I found that a much cheaper way to achieve "Surround Gaming" and that really in-scene experience was to simply reposition my keyboard and mouse behind my monitor.
