seems that the little stunt i pulled the other day rocked Atys. While I cirtainly didn't mean for it to cause guilds to fall apart(Directed at Noin), I did hope that it would accoplish what it seems to have. Especially after Souls intervened and brought order to these forums, it seems that the conversations and actions have been much more thought out and civil. While I have not been IG for a few days now, from the change in attitude i see in the forums today it would seem the community is comming back to a respectful stance towards eachother.
Just a suggestion: While there is still going to be PvP and OP battles occuring, at least mabey the community can abide by some simple unwritten understandings about conduct relating to them as to not stir up problems in wake of an uneasy peace that seems on the horizon here. Mabey an interim solution to OP fight imbalances, untill nevrax can come up with a permanant solution, would be for the attacking guild's leader to have a small private conversation with the defending guild's..not to ask permission, but to discuss numbers so that it is balanced and the better side wins. While there can be a lot of deception invlved, if this community feels it is an honorable community, then such a conversation should be held to their words, withthe whole of atys being the police if someone doesn't stand by thier words.
And as for PvP, theres still the option to tag or not so there should be no problems with that, as thats an individual choice.
I am happy to see everyone being civil again, and looking forward to resubscribing after i settle into my new job.

From what I hear, at least 3 guilds have been 'seriously affected' by the past weekend. Whether that is down to you or not I don't rightly know.3421514 wrote:cause guilds to fall apart(Directed at Noin)

Your "little stunt" wasn't really what "rocked Atys" - but it did throw pebbles at it.3421514 wrote:seems that the little stunt i pulled the other day rocked Atys. But yes, it does seem folks are getting more serious about working things out, rather than escalating them. It's a step in the right direction.

i guess you could say its a 'step'lexi44 wrote:It's a step in the right direction.
i call it a shove
either way i'm liking where this is going - we fell down the mountain a couple hundred feet, but maybe now we can climb back up a smoother route.
for those guilds that have been injured, i'm seriously sorry - i only hope we regrow and form a stronger community.

Are you serious? so... do you mean we have to applaud and congratulate you? that you acted for the sake of hominkind?
Sorry, this is like saying "I went out and shot a poor guy on the street, now law enforcement is all over the place and seems that the crime has gone down. ".
By the tone of your post, it does look you are *proud of it*... that's like Jyudas saying that thanks to his post and ban, forums went back to normal....

As you say you only can see the effect on the forums, which definetly is only the tip of the iceberg.
The effect of the avalanche you set off cut deeper than only limited the three guilds you mentioned. If my observation is right, and outright war may break loose where the last weekend may only appear as a little brawl between school kids.
I came to the decision not to unsubscribe, but start to fight back. This will start with many small actions and will have impact on PvE and PvP.
When you come back, you will notice that a lot already has changed, and that the last weekend has done more harm to the community, and will do more than you expected.
( I'm sorry that this sounds so bitter, but this is the most positive way I am able to descibe the current situation)

Well said. If these forums and community recover, it will be despite Brock's actions and not because of them.iphdrunk wrote:Are you serious? so... do you mean we have to applaud and congratulate you? that you acted for the sake of hominkind?

Brock, I'm glad you came forward because I was a little sick of the slander that we (the KA) did this ourselves for some reason or other. I never did understand the motivation being assigned to us on that accusation. But, you keep patting yourself on the back; what you did was not a noble gesture. It was a minor obnoxious act. Not the first one we've had to endure here on Atys, but it was not a good thing in disguise.
Oisac's apology for his action might go a ways towards bringing us together because he at least seems remorseful. Yours just stirred the pot. Nothing more.
