I heard some silly story about the Guild of Flies getting lost in the prime roots and angering the kitin. Supposedly, the perfumed kitin are now casting a web of threads about Witherings and Zora to cut it off from the rest of Atys.

More interesting, though, was gossip about romantic affairs between Yrkanis royal household and the government of Pyr! That new boy Xalis seems to have made himself at home very quickly!

Rehn was in Dyron yesterday saying that the Matis Kulos was in the Pyr pub saying that the Trytonists were the reason for the kitin threat and that the karavan had a camp up on the canopy.

Rehn seemed to think Kulos had been drinking a bit much and had had been smoking a bit of the stinga weed. So I'd take that info with a grain of salt.

Its was early morning when I stood at the east stable in Pyr bitterly pondering how a pack of Gingos made a rag doll of me just minutes before a patrician Fyrosian walked by. He stopped and greeted me and continued to talk about rumors he’s heard. He forewarned of a Kitin attack and suggested Tryton was to blame. It wasn’t long before I realize who I was talking to, Senator Xalis, the power hungry and corrupted Fyrosian, the same men who held a private meeting with Lady Chabrice before the Yrkanis parade. I listened and entertained his words, but quickly disregarded the news as nothing more than rumors and propaganda to stain a good homins name.

I was one of the lucky to meet our Tryker Governor, Still Wyler, at the Fair Haven stables today. He however seemed very busy:

I briefly heard Governor Wyler discussing "focusing on the Kitin threat" as well. It was good to see that he was on the job for once. However, he left before I could corner him about the rising prices of Fyrosian firewine and other important matters.

I would like to state at this time that the Zahan-Nightblade conglomorate has had no involvement in recent large purchases of Firewine stock leading to a shortage, then reselling them at an inflated rate.

Such accusations are libellous and I have retained a matisian lawyer of some repute to protect our business!

Nevertheless I have procured a small supply of the product, and can am willing to resell at a reasonable price given current market conditions...
