A pleasant surprise - The Community

Its early days for SoR, but the last couple of times ive logged on, ive been pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of communications from the players. Some of you might have played AO - Anarchy Online, and would know that one of the things that made that game good was the community, often highlighted as one of the best among MMORPG's. I think Ryzom is following in those footsteps. 90% of the communication ive witnessed is advice, or helping other players personally, grouping etc. Much of it revolved around finding those choice+ resource spots :)

I think our resident CS for English Euro (Lawrence) has posted in much the same way so far. Positive, helpful and willing to provide a bit of information on upcoming changes etc.

For me, the community in an MMORPG has to be the most important aspect of the game, to trully get the best experience from these types of games, the ability to get information from other players is paramount.

Its early days like I said, but so far ive been pretty impressed.

Hi!

mattius, I can assure you that it's been this way since Beta days.
Honestly, the maturity of this game's community has been the prime reason of purchase for me. Even though I'm witnessing some disturbing deteriorations within community behavior atm., by virtue of some current problems propably, I still remain confident in its outliving of common sense and mutual respect :)

I couldnt agree more, the EE community in SoR is fantastic. I've heard differeing reports from the NA server tho. :) *Feels smug that we have such nice people here on our server*

The community is definatly one of the greatest I've seen and is one of the main reasons I bought and play this game. Beta was great and it does seem that the same feeling has carried on to release. Good job to all of you I'm happy to get to play with such fine people!

Got to agree with the people posting before me, the community on the EE server is the best I have come across on a mmorpg. During beta it was all friendly and polite, with helpful players and csr whenever you had a problem, and that has just continued through to the retail release game.

I did a wild recruiting run for my guild from the time I started till now and have to say that I only had one bad apple so far. Which with 45 people recruited is very good imo.

From the little time i have played so far of the game i have to say that the people on the ee server have been great and friendly and dont mind when i ask some newbie questions.

The people here are a lot nicer as coming from swg and meeting a high number of people who wouldnt give u the time of day it is very nice to have some fun with people and majes this game 100 x better.

Thanks guys
