A letter to Fairhaven from AA

Post by danolt »

We Homins were created in the image of Jena and placed upon the world of Ma-Duk. In our present forms we are blasphemous to the Genitor and loved by our Creator. Transformation versus preservation, separation versus fusion, love verse design, this is our struggle, and it is their conflict.

We were not designed to be here. Homins are not part of the natural ecology of Atys. This is the heart of the faction wars. The Kami seek to transform us, to make us a part of their world. The Karavan are interested in protecting us from that transformation and gaining dominion over the living planet.

Upon this maelstrom the clash of four cultures is added. The four races, created in the image of Jena, have their own fallibility's and their own loyalties. We were created, like her, with free will. We must make choices and we are responsible for our own destiny.

As the guild leader of Aedan Artisans I try and promote an environment where members can make choices, make mistakes, make a difference. My responsibilities include keeping the guild relevant, growing, and focused on the Tryker race and the light of Jena. It is for these reasons I am removing AA from our present alliance.

The lakelands are in grave danger. We are on a path to bondage and I do not foresee that changing soon; recent and coming events have and will hurt the Tryker population disproportionately compared to the other races. While Ma-Duk no longer has a foothold in our lands, two of our seven outposts are controlled by guilds whom are housed outside of Fairhaven. We lack the strength to hold our own against Ma-Duk alone, and he will come, for of all the races we are the most unlike him. We value debate, diversity, independence and choice to a point where we lack the ability to independently defend ourselves.

We are not born of Atys. We are not of Atysian composition. We are refugees. In his 6th Revelation "Don't be tempted by false gods, they cannot be of Atysian composition, they have no place in my design, they create imbalance" Ma-Duk makes it clear that those who do not want to be one with him are of no value to him. There is no larger threat facing us then the Kami. The Kitin are part of his balance, "unenlightened" Homins are not.

We believe in the sovereignty of the races. We believe in the love of Jena. We believe a hero resides in every Homin. We believe we control our choices and influence our own destinies.

We will fight for what we believe.

two of our seven outposts are controlled by guilds whom are housed outside of Fairhaven.
For clarification, who are those two guilds?

Hmm, if I count it right, it is OmegaV who hold the Whirling Strongold, and your guild, the Order of the Dragonblades who hold the Greenvale Trade Post.
I guess these two are those guilds Pero pointed out in his letter.

The Order of the Dragonblades has nothing but good will towards the Trykers. We are a multiracial guild and have Trykers among our ranks. We have also been giving out Elevation Crystals freely to any in need of them in Liberty Lake.

Even though our guild hall happens to be located in Yrkanis, we are not a Matis guild and do not have any real ties to the Matis. Or any race. We seek good relations with all races, however.

We have the utmost respect for the Tryker ideals of liberty and equality.

It is true that the Tyker population is on the path to bondage. However, that bondage is not from Ma-DUk, but from yourselves. The Tryker used to be care-free, open minded, and treated each other as equals. Times have apparently changed for the worse.

Your guilds initial attack on Whirling stronghold with the pretense that it was to rid the lakelands of the kami lead to the successful attack of Omega V on Whirling Stronghold. The lakelands were now all karavan controlled, but at what cost? While it was karavan, it was no longer Tryker.

Now, you further your demands, claiming that the outposts, while karavan, were not Tryker. Perhaps, it is not possible to have both. Perhaps, one must choose whether being Tryker is more important than the religion they follow. Is National pride more important than faction alignment?

I'm saddned by these events. It appears that the democratic people of Aedan Aqueous are turning to Facism. No longer is free thought allowed. In order to be a constant part of the Tryker, you must embrace the Karavan. Free thought, now replaced by forced religion. Not content with just this, we now see xenophobic thought, that anything non-Tryker is not worthy. It would appear that Pero has more in common with his Matisian "brothers" than one would guess from his appearance. He too wishes to make slaves of the Trykers.

I would hate to see the only truly open minded and non-brainwashed Trykers be the ones that spend the least amount of time in their homeland.

Nice attempt to divide us. But we Tryker have grown up knowing that the Kami are not to be trusted; your motives are quite obvious. War is coming. The attempts to stop it have been failures; sad, but true. With war coming, we should be fully aligned with our allies. Otherwise, we are divided and we will lose. Only through unity with ourselves and our friends can we hope to remain free.

unite with Ma-Duk and the Kami then. If we stand together the matis will never again get the chance to enslave and control the other races. We do not seek domination but balance. Our way is not to conquer but to preserve. Think on who the aggressors are on our world, who seeks to destroy and control - do you really think if they subdued the Kami lands they would leave you alone?
