The Great Conclave of Yrkanis
On the night before the opening of outposts, a cry went across the forest lands. The OmegaV guild called out to all of the Karavan supporters. "All Karavan guilds should meet to discuss these outposts. Guildleaders or representatives come to the pavilion at Yrkanis." The Karavan guilds gathered, large and small. OmegaV, Melinoe, Order of the Nameless, Reapers of the Dark, Cara Via, Citizenz of Matis, Jenas Lost Tribe, Pegasus Foundation, Matisian Royal Lancers, the New Empire, Order of the Dragon Blades and more. A rowdy crowd of Matis arranged themselves around the pavilion. OmegaV asked that all major Karavan guilds come and be represented. A few Karavaneers pointed to Kamist spies but the rest ignored them. Someone noted that the Legion of Atys was missing. Messengers were sent out to find them but none could be located. Arcueid danced to the center of the pavilion and shouted to I am the daughter of King Yrkanis and I have news of great concern to tell you .. Jeers and laughter came up from the crowd and she ran back to her seat laughing and dodging rotten jubla fruit. Spiff and Thara of OmegaV called for order. They announced that the assembly was called so that peace and order might reign amongst the followers of Jena. Each guild should call forth what outpost they desired and all should reach a consensus. The guilds rose one by one to claim their posts in the service of Jena. The Order of the Nameless wished to own Westgrove Stronghold and none disputed them. OmegaV and Melinoe both held out for Ginti Workshop. OmegaV called for a vote, guilds stood for one side or the other with many abstaining. Melinoe won the vote and all congratulated them. "What then for OmegaV?" someone yelled. OmegaV asked only to serve Jena and ensure that all Karavan guilds were united. Other guilds called out the outposts they wanted, covering all the Matis sites, but no more votes were taken. Riveit was attending the meeting for Aedan Artisans (and was likely the shortest homin there.) He rose and announced that Aedan Artisans wished only Graveyard Gate Research Center. He asked what of the Lakeland outposts? The Matis replied that those were for the Trykers to claim ... unless they allowed Kamists to control their resources. Such an event might require the Matis to act. No Matis guild claimed a Lakeland outpost. The meeting began to break up amid jokes and laughter. Iverem of Wanderlust arrived at the end. Riveit whispered to her to put the name of her outpost, but she just silently watched the tall Matis as they began to party.
