I'm afraid crafters are rather carefull and don't just give away their recipe's, they want to stand out, be known as the ones that are the best, the only ones that know how to. I'm no hvy armor crafter, but i do know that with mob mats (bosses) you will get the best effects, a lot better then with just dug mats.

This all depends on the mats you have dug lol, supreme mats dug can give a better result then the boss mats sometimes ;)

again, the best armors require boss mats, of course you need to know WHICH boss mats :D

Of course some dug mats are better then some boss mats, but for the best effects... Mostly boss mats for sure :p

{EDIT} was a tad distracted when i first wrote this post, so i edited it to a piont where it would actually make sense ;)

Experimentaion is the key. If you are in a guild that has a nice selection of mats spend an hour or two trying different mats in the plans to see how the stats measure up. (you can often get a rough idea just by right clicking the mat and checking the stats) Check the merchants in each of the lands on a regular basis, set a filter to exe and supreme only and buy up any boss/named/pr mats you can at the price you are willing to pay. Go on regular named/boss hunts and stockpile mats. You will soon build up a hit list of mobs and mats that are the best for your crafting field.

As already stated the "uber" recipes tend to not be well known and those that do know want to keep it that way for obvious reasons ;)

well try getting max parry or max protection without boss mats, not possible, no dug mats get anything close..

There is no need to lurk for merchs and try all mats, just check the BM material database for the stats you desire and make a list of things you are able to get on Atys. Then start collecting the materials and try combining them until you find somethin for your pleasure.

There are alot recipes, but what use would a recipe be for you involving mats of 5 Bosses you would need to kill to get them?

Oh and for the curious ones, here is a thingy I discovered. This explains how to replace materials with others and create "perfect" grades not existing. For example mixing 2 supreme and 3 excel mats creates a new grade between. With higher plans more finetuning is possible and so on! Happy crafting and confusing :D

Here's the list of grades:

Basic 11/12
Fine 21
Choice 29/30
Excellent 38
Supreme 47/48

And now the explaination why you can replace mats with others and different Grades:
Basic(12) + Choice(30) = Fine (21)
Basic(12) + Supreme(47) = Choice (30)

Why would you need this finetuning? Well if you reach a higher level of crafting you will notice some nice effects, for example stats going down or up in a very interesting way (also known as boosts). The rest you should find yourself, I wont spoil the fun :p
