Walking down slowly towards Fairhaven, she remembered her first days here as a refugee, when shed valiantly battled Cloppers and Goaris and more often then not lost those battles

She slowly picked her way through the growing crowd of civilians tending to their daily chores and headed for Lorias Rise. Shed have to pick up her stuff from the apartment first. And probably clean it up a bit, or the caretaker would get after her again Bah, did a little dust hurt anyone?

She was going to miss this place. For years now it had been her home, and she had grown to love every single lapping wave, every single creaking plank of it. It might not be as impressive as the Matisians trees, or as well structured as the Fyrosian palaces or even as harmonious as the Zoraian temples but there was a sweet charm to this city, perhaps a charm due to the people more than to the buildings themselves. After all, Trykers had always prided themselves in putting Homins first. And behind the quaint charm, they had made comfort one of their priorities you just had to visit a guildhall to see it.
She tiptoed up the steps to the apartment she shared with her beloved ever since Arcana had asked her to marry her. They had handed over her own apartment to their daughter Dalin hoping that she wouldnt wreck every single piece of furniture in it

Killi?
Yes, its time to go. We have a long journey yet.
Arcana got up and finished the preparations, smiling sadly. Whod ever have thought it would come to this? Time worked in its own ways, and maybe his ways were better after all.
Have you left enough cookies for Dalin and Nail?
Yes, and I even entrusted Watryk with the recipe so theyd never run out of them

Good idea. Do we have everything we need?
A couple things are left in the guildhall, but we can get them on the way. Oh, and dont forget to give the key to the apartment to the caretaker, hell want it back

That crackpot old fool always muttering about dirt and dust... but yes, I suppose youre right, chuckled Arcana.
As they walked to the guildhall on the other end of Fairhaven, they exchanged few words, each lost in her own thoughts, each saying goodbye in her own way.
The guildhall caretaker was snoring loudly as they passed, and never even answered their salutations some things never changed, no matter what

The guildhall looked empty without its usual junk cluttered up in the corners. Cleaning it had taken time, but it had been something to do. Now they just had to pick up the last parcel and head for the stables.
Killi, what IS in this?
Oh its something I made us a long time ago, for our wedding. But since we never had a chance to organize it, and that Im too scared to invite all our friends to it now in these times of war, scared theyll start arguing and hurting each other, I figured we could wear these outfits on our journey. Theyre pretty but practical

Out of the bag came two light Fyrosian medium quality dresses, a black one and a white one.
The white one is for you, since youre the leader

Im not leading much anymore but thanks Killi, it means a lot

They stopped by the bar on their way out, depositing a couple envelopes that were to take care of their last business. Then onto the stables, where their packers were stationed. Poor Mektoubs they really had a heavy load to carry. Then, both riding their mounts, they turned north. Towards Messakan Island. Towards the Wind of Muse. Towards the memories they held from the Lake lands, and would never forget.
