Mandatory non-PvP content

Mandatory non-PvP content

Since PvPers have "their own" regions on Atys I think it's only fair non-PvPers should have theirs...

In other words once the PvP toggle becomes active there should be areas where those who have ever turned on PvP for their char won't have access to. As it is there are more and more area's where non PvPers "shouldn't go" and are therefor denied part of the pie. These areas should yield some unique rewards that are not accesable to people who used the PvP toggle or perhaps even gained honor through killing other homins.


This would some what even out the fact that players who are not interested in PvP miss out on a lot ofthe "content" that has been added to the game since release and is especially nessecary since no real non PvP "content" has been added for over a year now....

Those were events, not "content". ;)

You couldn't change anything by taking part, or gain any 'rewards' other than some XP and possibly some mats - all of which you can do without taking part.

I like the idea of having areas where PvPers can't go. If someone has gained 'honour' from killing other homins, they can't go there. I like that idea very much.

I don't like this idea, because I gained honor in killing an assassin that ambushed a digging site I harvested some mats for the temple.

I won't attack if not attacked first, but I will defend my life and that of my kin.

So does this makes me a PvPer?

In all honesty, no I don't think it does. BUT how can the game distinguish? You were in a PvP zone, you killed a homin, within the current mechanics this makes you a PvPer. Yes it was self defence but you still killed another homin.

I was in the same zone and I killed no-one. I spent 30 minutes there, couldn't dig so I healed. I gained no 'murder' points.

I want a reward for those of us that have NEVER taken the life of another player.

non-PvP have every place that is not PvP, is that not enough for you? There is nothing stopping you from going to the PvP zone, why should PvP players not be able to get in to this so called non-PvP zone?

Already said this on another thread.

PvPers don't get grief in non-PvP zones, but non-PvPers DO get grief in PvP zones.

You can go where you want, we can't. You can go to the non-PvP areas as much as we can.

We want an area you can't go that we can. Just as you have one we can't go to because we don't agree with it.

It is called the limitation of choice. Like the non-PvP crew is limited in their choice to go places.

Here, here. Give us our own zones or give us a flag so the gankers can't attack us and we can't attack them. We can only heal either side or kill kitin. I'd be happy with that and it's probably easier to implement. ;)

The key word here is CHOICE, you have the choice to go into a PvP zone or stay out if you wish. Why should PvP player not have the choice to go into the non-PvP zone?
I'm not a big fan of PvP so I dug mats to help the Karavan. I spent 95% of my time doing this with not a lot of problem. Yes I was killed a few times, no big deal; I just ran back and started digging again. I had more problems from the Kinchers than the PvPers.
