No Sound after server downtime?

emm... maybe its just me, but upon relogging after the server DT to night , i have no sound in the game And yes the settings are on...

PC sound is working (a quick quit to desktop and a few mins of Doom 3 showed me everything is fine there hehe) but even restarting the 'pute and rejoining ryzom still zilch? Its 1.40 here in N.Ireland so not many folk on fyros noobieland but those i asked could hear everything (tho as usual no one could see the rain-why is that, since many of the trailers showed gr8 weather fx but none yet in the retail or the upcoming patches? I had some great gaming moments getting caught in a heavy thunderstorm when out in the hills at night in Morrowind!)

Im too tired to play w/o sound but ill check the boards tomorrow and see if anyone else has had this prob before I play.

well im incredibly new to this game, i have sound fx but no music, is music available in this game or is it coming soon?

There isn't currently any music, that will come with "Patch 1".
You can however listen to the main theme by downloading the mp3: http://www.ryzom.com/data/music/Saga_of_Ryzom_Theme.mp3

Don't know about not having any sound at all though, will check later.

Me too. I can't hear any music. After some selecting and deselecting in the SOUND window (EAX in particular) nothing change. I can hear only the footsteps sound, some roaring animal but none music that other player tel me there must be. I've downloaded the latest CREATIVE driver fot my Sound Blaster Audigy NX but nothing works.
I cant hear any music sound, any sound of thunder that I can see in the sky sometimes.
When I try to change my settings I can hear a peak of a very short-mix of various sound fx.

If you read what the previous posts said, its not implimented yet but should be in patch one. However you can listen to it on the ryzom site with the link above.
