Where do you think I got this info? By picking up a pistol and shooting all three kinds of ammo at every creature on Atys ofcourse (and yes, a lot of tribe camp guards were sacrificed in the making of this list :D ).

I tried getting the values for Homins, but they seemed to be completely random, with great differences between each individual homin. Not only that, their armor seemed to have some kind of... maximum to it's absorption value.... very strange, no other creature seems to have anything like it.

:p But seriously, that's actually a good point with all the bandit invasions lately, 't would be nice to know if they had any weaknesses. Though I suspect they have equal protection to everything.

Agreed... whether you plan to fight or use diplomacy, the bandits will not care and I would like to know more on this.

Actually, if I can ever get a working computer again... some basic default homin info with differing armor would be nice to pick up info on as well. I have rare chances to get on wifes system when not working and she don't mind, but that is an idea I would help on if your interested.

Damage guide

Post by sidusar »

And now for the second part; the damage type done by every creature on Atys. Damage was gathered by wearing q10 light armor with different max resistances to all damages (6 to slash, 7 to blunt and 8 to pierce) and allowing the creature to take a few swings at me. Reason I used q10 armor was to make sure the damage reduction would be determined by the max vs values rather than by the protection factor (though for yubos those max vs values were still too high and I had to fight Ora to get a result).

Thank you all *bow*. Now that we have different magic resistances and protections too, I wish I could rename this thread 'protection guide' or something, resistance is apparently a misnomer. Ah well.

Anyways, here are the creatures I've found to use spells or spell-like effects:

Spells (jewelry protections work against these, so I assume resistances do as well):
Primates
cute: rot
frahar: fire
gibbai: cold
Plants
cratcha: poison
jubla: shockwave
psykopla: shockwave & electric
shooki: fire
slaveni: root
stinga: cold & root

Spell-like effects (jewelry protections do not work against these, the system info says they do but you still take the full damage, so I assume resistance doesn't work against these either):
Animals
gingo: blind
goari: electric attack
jugula: poison DoT
lumper: acid attack
madakam: madness
najab: rot attack
ocyx: fire attack
tyrancha: acid attack
vorax: fear
yber: shockwave attack
zerx: acid attack
Kitin
kidinak: sleep
kincher: electric attack
kinrey: acid attack
kipee: stun
kipesta: fire attack
kirosta: poison attack
kizarak: acid attack
