Hello new guy here

Post by playman1 »

Hello,

New guy here and I have a couple of questions, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I have a new magician and trying to figure things out (sloowly :) ).
1st question: How do you heal yourself? I started with all 3 slots in magic, and have a heal spell that shows up in the action bar. Tried using this with no success at all. Scrolling through my log revealed an NPC comment about getting trained for a self heal (the 1st heal I get can only heal others I assume), and I went and purchased the self heal ability (10 points?) I now have a self heal icon that I have moved into the action bar, but I still can't heal myself (the icon remains gray no matter what level my health is at, in combat and out of combat). What am I missing here?

2nd question: Is there any way to invert the mouse look? I looked through the input menu, but was unable to find any option that would allow me to do this :(

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions

1. Get Self Heal Life when you train combat skills. There is a timer that grows longer as the skill increases.

2. Not that I know of, but you might want to ask in the Tech Support forum.

Self Heal Life heals your own HP, yes. :) But after using it once the icon becomes greyed and the action disabled for a certain amount of time (e.g., Self Heal Life 1 is disabled for 120 seconds, Self Heal Life 2 for 130, Self Heal Life 3 for 140, etc...). After that time has passed you will be able to use it again.

Inverting mouselook can't be done without violating the Code of Conduct; as it involves editing a config file :(

And Heal Self HP also shares that timer with heal self sap/stamina/focus. Using any one of those will disable them all for the given timer.

Is it possible you've been using one of the self heals and not realizing it? Aside from the timer, it should be usable at any point in time; in combat or not. (Not usable while stunned though, darn kipee!)

Nearly all metioned. You started with max magic and want to be a mage in the first place. Then you should buy root as soon as possible. It keeps the animals away and you loose less HP. Then you can use self heal sap instead.

Do some melee to buy HP with the skill points and save your skill points in magic for better stuff there.
