Game hanging upon entering world?

I was playing my first character just fine earlier until the game somehow got caught spinning me around for no reason, so I had to end task.

Rebooted, and tried to load my char. It's now stuck on what looks like 99% 'loading' screen after you select a character to play. Just hangs there.

I created a new char. Now I get the same thing. Just hangs there right before I enter the world...

Any ideas?

Try this:
- find the SAVE folder in the Ryzom folder and rename it to SAVE.OLD
- launch the game again

If you are still having issues, try running the 'check data' option from the game login window. That should fix up any files that may have gotten corrupted.

BTW, to fix the moving and can't stop problem (which usually happens when you are moving and alt-tab away from game) try pressing shift and the arrow key for the direction you are moving in.

Another way to fix the moving/spinning problem is again with the arrow keys. left, up & right in quick succsecion.

To fix the spinnin just press the direction in which your are moving eg if u are spinning to the right, press the right arrow key and this will solve your problem.

And how long did you leave the game when it reachd 99%

it "hangs" for around 1-2 mins for me aswell but it loads fine eventually
