As far as I know, this is related to bag bulk/weight and started in the same patch that tp tickets gained weight. There was a post with this indication shortly after the patch. Try clearing out your bag as much as possible before crafting... might help.

Crafted q250 armors recently.
~9 armors crafted with "usual" degrades, and when started craft last armors last parts (changing tool each armor, mats in bag only for 1 part, no armor on me and etc) got 20 degrades in row, so just stoped.

Yesterday, friend asked craft q250 armor and provided mats. Crafted 4 parts with "usual degrade rate" (1 part degraded, tool changed already and had 100/100 hp), and then when started craft gloves (same success rate as other parts) got 10 degrades in row...
Reloged 5 times, changed crafting places and etc.
In result was able to craft q250 gloves only after 1.5 hours, wasted near 500 supreme mats. Next crafts - was again with usual degrades/success ratio.
Problem noticed after last patch, when sometimes impossible to craft anything in period 1-2 hours, even crafting with 95% success - got 3 degrades in row and ~20 "Craft action failed"....

Now I noticed higher degrades then usual as well, when I was using supreme only. Wasted about 600 mats on a set, supreme only.
Then when using only choice, hardly any degrades. One per set, or two.
Tried again using excellent only, one degrade on a 60~80% plan range for a set.

All these crafts were heavy armor, HQTryker.

I think it is linked to supreme mats...

Which is strange... you would think that if you used higher quality ingredients, the final product would be better...

or if I use higer quality fuel in my car, it will run better an smoother...

But in this case, it seems that the higher the quality you use, the rougher it is on the process.

Interesting.

Yup. And thus making supreme gear more rare. A good thing, as it will keep people something to compete for, something to enjoy having.

If everyone has supreme gear, what would be the fun of having it?

i crafted a ql180 supr some days ago, went very well most of my lvls can handle it though had 3 under lvl 170 2 degrades in total

my example was ql200 stuff

lvl 165 boots: 25 - 35 degrades
lvl 168 sleeves: 0 degrades
lvl 190 vests: 0 degrades
lvl 171 helmet: 3 degrades
lvl 178 pants: 5 degrades
lvl 168 gloves: around 10

this used to be a lot less (though i think this way its actually more fair) stops the overcrafting a bit with mastering 1 tree

anyway i would like to know if it has been intentionly changed or not on a complete set i mostly had no more then 15 degrades even overcrafted higher then now

Best items are hardest to craft, seems fair. Especially in case of crafting over your skill. Crafter has to utilize his skills to the limit to take most out of best ingredients available.

It would be nice to see this reflected at displayed success rates.

to be honest (nothing of what I seem to observe is based on formal data) I think I get better results with basic and fine mats xp-wise, with a fixed overcrafting delta. I also think I get better results with some items than with others, and I also think some mat mixes seem to give better results than others. I am also interested in seeing the effects of crafting in different stables, mixing regions, mats and race skills, hey, maybe even the mood I am in has somethng to do too, or even the time of day :D (ok, ok last ones were not true, :P ).

In summary, most of what I seem to find seems quite absurd and not logical in a crafting system, maybe, but if these subtilities are present in the game, they can only make the game (crafting) more interesting :D ohh.. crafting, still a mistery to us ignorant players :D I wish we knew all the inner details....
