I'd like u 2 talk a little about the RAID engine, and it's current (under) utilisation ingame. It seems to me that you have this great tool that it very rarely used. I am not talking about having major storyline events all the time, but a more general kitin/gibbai/etc invasion in a land/zone/town on a regular basis, there needs to be no extensive back story to this, but rather an evident portrail of us fighting back the kitin or whatever. If the majority of these raids took place in under populated area's then you wouldnt be forcing the entire pop to attend, but rather give the bored players something to do.

Now i may been talking with my head in the clouds and not realise the manpower required for this, but i assume the management of a raid could readily be supervised by a few guides or gm's? I can assure you that if the current numbers of guides are too low, there are many others ingame currently who would be happy to help out :D

Hi David,

I was actually quite interested in your thoughts about the future of mmorpgs and your vision of "personal virual space". It's just that the topic is so out there that I really can't find anything to add, or ask. I am sure some will come up once we have the actual tool for starting on this vision (R2).

But, I want to know right now what your thoughts on the status of Ryzom? How close is it to your original vision, did you get what you wanted, at least the important bit? What were some of the nice pleasant suprises you didn't expect? What were some of the dissapointments? How close is Ryzom, in your opinion, to your "let the players affect the world" vision?

Also ... what's nevrax financial situation? :D

You share your dream with us. You knew we would. You are the father of us all. My question is:

How do you feel at this moment about us? What do you feel when you walk in Atys with us? Does your heart swell with pride or ache with disappointment when you watch what we do with this gift you have given us? Have we ever brought you to tears? Have we completely missed the point or are we growing in the right direction? Do you love us Dad?

I agree, I want to know more about the raid engine, if its working correctly? Is it something the ingame event team can use or is it much more complicated? And maybe why it doesn't seem (to us) to be being used.?

And maybe related to this are you planning on introducing more migrating mobs that migrate over greater distances?

You can play an objectionable role with me if you want but expect to be treated as i would treat that character ( you could be on ignore fairly quick lol )

Back to main topic -

Yes id also like to hear about the "RAID Engine" and the "Event Tools" (the set which were introduced a while back with a training day) that were much heralded as being a geat advance for the game but are seemingly very little used if at all .

Sadly I can only view news of great advances like R2 and more Event Tools with scepticism at the moment , are they only realy enhancements for inclusion with the NEL engine licencing side of Nevrax ?

Are there problems with the RAID Engine and old Event Tools - weve had some aborted events which leads me to think its a software issue rather than the CSR event team (which have a very good history of providing events on Arispotle) falling down on the job.

I know from news items of more event tools and such being in the pipeline that it is still very much a work in progress and maybe Jena is bringing event nervana with her but what went wrong ?
