[ F A C T I O N P v P ]
The following points are related to events and aim at providing you a
better visibility during PvP events. During a PvP faction event,
character names will be given special colors, according to the
following ruleset:
- Red: the character you targeted is an opponent;
- Light purple: the character you targeted is an ally and is in your
team;
- Dark Purple: the character you targeted is an ally and in your guild;
- Dark Blue: the character you targeted is an ally;
- Regular Blue: the character you targeted is either not engaged in the
faction war, is out of the faction PvP zone or is not attackable yet.

Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
surely having people choose a faction (kami/kara/neutral) when entering such a zone would help? and following on from that allowing heals out team/guild for same faction players?

Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
Excellent idea for colour differences, but this also needs to be on the compass/map please!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
To be able to change these colours your self would be nice, so you can set it out how ever it works best for you (like for myself at the moment guildies are shown green to make them stand out on screen)
Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
This seems an excellent solution and should make pvp events alot less chaotic, really glad it was not just red or blue as I know some non-combatants have been abit annoyed and felt they were forced into PvP or excluded from an area when an event was on.

Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
Ooh no, I like it the way it's described, "The character you targeted ..." I think we should have to be close enough to at least target a player before we can tell their faction, rather like checking their papers. This allows for a little espionage.trenker wrote:Excellent idea for colour differences, but this also needs to be on the compass/map please!
Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
I hope that along with the name colouring will go automatic limitations on your actions, so that you cannot "accidentally" attack an ally or neutral, cannot heal an enemy.
Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
I wonder a little bit how you can get neutral.
That seems to be only possible if your fame of kami/karavan is 0 (almost impossible fact as you would have done no missions of a kami/karavan) or in a low tolerance limit of e.g. 60+/- (which was not specified here) so that only true believer are part of the conflict here.

Re: [DEV] PvP - Faction Colours
I'd like to see it like this too. Only, what should happen when a player joins a team then leaves the zone and reenters? Can teams be of mixed faction?rushin wrote:surely having people choose a faction (kami/kara/neutral) when entering such a zone would help?
Aah, I've just seen that there is a different thread about automatic faction selection depending on your Fame.
