Hi

I am about to make a toon for this game... Any infor or tips on race or server?

Or what i should start out as or with first?

Welcome!

The servers are divided by language. There's a French, German, and English server. So your choice is just determined by the language you want to use.

For race, I'd read up on the background of each on the main ryzom.com site and pick one you like the best. Right now, there's no difference in abilities of each race. The main difference is just geography of the land and starting fame. However, in upcoming events the stance of each race may become more important.

In game, the zorai tend to be the least populated. Fyros seem to be the most populated. Depending on what you're looking for, that might be an important factor.

As for creating your character, the general consensus is to pick a harvest, magic, and craft starting pack because you can start fighting without the fight skill pack.

mhmm guess people not so nice here.... 7 or so people looked but no one is willing to answer or offer there 2cents on makeing a char/toon for this game mhmmm maybe I should look for diff game

Server you already chose if you're posting here, just one for English speaking players

As far as race, you can read up on the basics of the four from the lore on the left of the main Ryzom page.

I would totally base what you pick on a combination of how you feel about the race backgrounds and what you think looks the coolest.

Basically, there is no difference in the play of any of them. They all have the same skills and abilities available. As far as RP, it's simple enough to choose to follow your civilization style, or move to another region and take up the life of another race.

Some home regions are more populated than others, but that's only a temporary factor and I wouldn't consider it. Once you've played a little while and traveled you can see everything and everyone no matter what your civilization is.

Like the others say there is not a lot difference between the races, except the way they look. Just choose the one that you like the most.

The refugee isle can be a bit strange sometime, so ask for help in region or send tells to guides or friendly players.

angwyn the thread read count goes up every time the link is clicked, so if you click it a couple times itll say its been read 4 times already

pick any race and enjoy, after gaining a little strength, or even jsut if you ask the right people, you can travel to another land

there are no racial abilities at this point, but your popularity with the tribes, and the opposing forces is partially determined by your civilization, its more fun learning the story in game,

dont spoil the movie by reading the plot first :-p

But, ehm, pick Fyros. You will fit right in I think. Dyron and Flaming Forest are good for digging.

well, well thats a pretty harsh assumption. unless u think that every single person who reads a thread should respond?

If you have a look there are many identical posts to yours each week, and we also have new player guides on the forum. The main website has a section that will help you out as well.
