Will Ryzom Work to its most

kk here goes, i played ryzom about 3 months ago, an everything work good on slightly low graphics, but then i moved on to the mainland, an all i got was jerks every few seconds in certain areas it wud b more jerky

my specs then was

AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (1.91GHz)
512MB RAM
Geforce FX 5200 Ultra 128MB VRAM

now i decided to come bk now i upgraded a part of my pc

heres my new specs

AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (1.91GHz)
1 GB RAM
Geforce FX 5200 Ultra 128MB VRAM

now much jus an extra 512MB RAM

could anyone tell me how it will run now, an will it improve my graphics as it has more memory behind it ???

please get bk asap cheers ;)

Extra memory should help a lot. What kind of settings you are after? 5200 is quite lowend card, so I doubt you can run everything set to max.

Defragging harddrive can also help performance in mainland cities as game loads lots of graphics when entering into cities.

With a XP2100, GeForce TI4600 and 512MB Ram I run at 1280x1024 with lags around towns and so.

Now with 512MB rams more, I have much less lag, and porting and so is done in 1/3 of the time.

kk, i jus installed it an updated it an it still jerks on the mainland (i am playin with my old character), but the practice area seemed ok with 512MB RAM so i guess ill make a new character then stay in the practice area lvl'in up ect, also helpin new people from wot i've learnt from when i last played it, an then in 11 days time ill buy a new gfx card probs a 5900 then if the game sytill lags am gonna bin the lot (not the ram or GFX card), an build a new pc from scratch...

I used to have a 5900, still couldn't get up to full detail - if you really want the best, go for a 6800GT..
