Suggestion: Event character list

Probably more fitting in another part of the forum.

I think a list over event characters past and present would help a lot (updated when needed).
It will help new players immensely, and give everybody an idea about what is happening.

Think of it as a 'who's who' list, it will have the characters name (obviously), notes on race and major alignments and a list of activities (was at <event>, did <something or other>).
Some background story would be nice as well, and maybe a picture as well.

I am aware that it can be a lot work, but I think it will be rewarding in the end.

Yes, hopefully those, but also the Emperors Herald and such or any character that will eventually come back one time or another. Last night' s Fyros' proclamation left me wondering who all those people were actually since I haven' t seen any of them before; so imagine what newer players must feel like when they first meet characters like Wormbreath. (besides feeling nauseous from last one)

This sounds like an excellent idea for a section of the new 'roleplay website' mentioned in David's letter today!

So I am currently designing this very roleplay website dedicated to the Homin life on Atys. This new website works like a newspaper. It has a 'news'section to let you keep track of the on-going events and have access to the archives of the previous events (to catch up on the story if you are new to the game or weren't in for some time). It also has a 'features'section to discuss particular topics, depending on the story or world status, and an 'opinion' section where players will get to give their opinions on matters we will put on the table.

I hope he reads this

No no no... this is in fact an excellent idea... The last thing we want is the RP things that are rampant lately being confused with the heroes of Lore when they choose to stop and tell us things we must know.

Already we have too many weddings and character driven events clutterings the events that will steer the direction of Atys. A Roleplaying section is not a section I will even glance at when given a choice... but this section/area of the forums I (and many many others) search to try and seperate the milk from the cream.

We need not keep confusing those who are roleplaying and those that are playing a role. It is getting many of the serious players to stop looking at these threads here. There needs to be a delineating line between things. they have been WAY TOO OFTEN blended lately.

Roleplaying or playing a role? That's just rearranging the words in a different order. *scratches head* Many player led events will alter the course of Atys as well I suspect, so long as the guides are involved, which they often are.
