To be clear: Your bag(inventory) and Slots, Bulk, and Weight.

Post by marct »

Ok, some definitions and clarifications.

SLOTS
Your bag has 500 slots now. Slots in your bag, apartment, GH, or packer are best compared to the slots in a container of eggs you buy at the store. 1 dozen eggs has 12 slots. 12 eggs fit in the container, and that is it. So equate each "slot" you see in your bag. a stack of mats up to 999 takes 1 slot. 1 TP ticket takes 1 slot, a stack of 5 TP tickets takes 1 slot, a sword takes 1 slot. If you fill your slots, you cannot put anything more in your bag, unless that item stacks with something else already in your bag.

BULK
Bulk is how much "space" the item takes. Your bag is 300 bulk. Compare these a soccer ball(football) to a ping-pong ball(table tennis). The soccer ball takes much more bulk, probably 20 times the "space" or bulk that the ping-pong ball. Your bag can only hold so much, i.e. a grocery bag/sack. You would only be able to fit 1 maybe 2 soccer balls in your grocery bag/sack, yet probably a hundred soccer balls. Once you have filled your bag's bulk, you can no longer put anything in your bag which uses bulk. I believe Sap Crystals still do not have bulk. So you could continue to put them in your bag.

WEIGHT
Weight is another item. Here I will compare the ping-pong ball to a shot-putt used in track and field. The shot-putt weighs a lot more than the ping pong ball. carrying a sack full of ping pong balls would be much easier than a sack full of shot puts. Thus, if the items in your bag have sufficient weight, it will slow you down. If you open your Identity screen 'p' unless you have remapped it, you can see your speed factor. If you load yourself up with ammo for a ranged weapon which weighs a lot while having your identity open you will see at a certain point it begins to affect your speed factor. With enough ammo, you will not be able to move at all. (BTW, it is pretty funny to move at a speed factor of 5%.) If you look at the same when you use your speed, it will be 200%.

I know there has been some confusion over these items with the change to TP tickets. I hope this helps everyone understand all fo these factors. If you still need more help, contact me via PM, or reply here.
