Where is Kaemon?

I think it is a town in fyros newbie island. At least, this new story suggest that it is there.

Kaemon is the central town in Fyros noob land, iirc

I must go re-read the story .... but if he is teleported TO the Starter Isle town....

according to the lore, all of hominkind were teleported ('rainbowed') from Atys to a "safe place" during the Kitin invasion. Now where this safe place is, I don't know. It could even be off planet.

In the 'old lore' it was refered to as 'Roots'.

I refer to 'old lore' as it appears that Elias' quotes have all disappear

Was the old lore kept in the flaming forest by any chance or made into Amps?

It's clear that the Fyros starts out somewhere other than the starter isle. The Kami appears to him and teleports him to the starter town. So the million dollar question is where was he before?

This had me confused for quite some time too, but I think I have it figured out now:
The lands we are currently playing in are the 'new' lands. Before the Great Swarming there had never been homins in these lands, all of them were living in the 'old' lands where they had great empires and cities and such. Then the Great Swarming happens and the kitin destroy all homin cities in the old lands. Some homins escape through the teleportation rainbows which teleport them to the prime roots of the new lands. After a while the kitin destroy the rainbows, leaving the rest of the homins trapped in the old lands. Those homins are forced to live nomadic lives, hiding from the kitin. Meanwhile the homins who were teleported to the new lands build up new cities there.

A few decades later, a route is discovered between the old and the new lands, so that the homins who were living nomadic lives in the old lands can finally join the newly build cities in the new lands. The story is that every player is one of those persons who grew up in the old lands and travelled to the new lands, the game beginning at the point were they reach the new lands and are sent to the training islands to learn how the new society works.

I remember in Beta you was allowed to pick your starting town. Also you was not allowed to pick the central town. This clear the things a bit?
