Just another newbie question :oP

Post by calzz »

I'm a lv30 fighter atm, levelling up outside the matis capital. However, I've seen maybe 3 or 4 people in my time there certainly none of which were near my level. So I was just wondering what kind of level do people leave the safeness of the city and go to more interesting places to group and level up etc.?

Great game btw :)

There is no clear answer. It depends on lvl and number of your teammates. A nice "formula" is: If you get 2000-3000 xp without collecting DP every 5 mins, then you are in the right place ;)

Ask on region for others to join you and try to move on into higher areas. Many players with some high skills have some lower skills to train. For example my ranged would fit very well with your melee.

Use the /who command to see how many peeps are in the same area as you

And, do find someone to hunt together with; not only tons of more fun, but tons more efficient as well :)

Btw, what is your time? 3-4 seems quite low...

Theres usually around 5-6 ppl in the area, but it still seems very empty given that the area is nothing but a large amount of fields with monsters in. Does this kind of atmosphere ever change later on in the game?

With your level 30 skills it is pretty eays to move onto the next harder area with a small group. You should head south to Fleeting Garden.

As mentioned in a previous therad, use region chat, a lot. There are 2 TP's in Fleeting Garden that you should get so your travel can be easier. Although at your levels, it is more efficient to run and kill on the way, they are convenient to have.

Once in Fleeting Garden, use region chat again to attempt to find a group. Your low level skills will fit in a higher level group. I would say you can probably hit at 30-40 levels above. So a group of lvl 60 - lvl 70 players you can fit into, you will just not contribute a ton of damage, but every bit helps.

Just keep yellin gin region because people come on and go off at any moment. In addition to asking for a team, you should advertise your team in region if you could use one or 2 more people.

I am around in the US East coast evenings. If you shout in region and I have skills that can help out I am likely to join you. I just pass through the city region in Matis though.

Noin.

P.S. As stated in the other thread, grow your friends list with people around your level, and send them tells if they are on and see if they are fighting and where.
