It's also in the new trailer coming out of what looks like a Kami area. So I'm thinking it's a Kami. What kind is the question and why does it look mean while the rest look friendly?

Hate to think what you consider un-friendly, if a transprant jelly-like skeleton is considered 'friendly'.

well since we've seen the upcoming Karavan Commandos/Warriers in dev screenshots and the E3 video, my guess is that is a picture of a Kami Commando/Warrier, which is not in game yet.
