Fyros Academy (We're baaaack!)

Event Preparation:
Wednesday 2005-05-18 @ 19:00 EST/23:00 GMT, will have a world tour going from Zora -> Fairhaven -> Yrkanis -> Pyr.

The march is in preperation for the Academy event in Pyr, Fyros on Saturday 2005-05-21 @ 16:00 EST/20:00 GMT.

Purpose of the Academy:
Ryzom has a steep learning curve, we all know that. This event is designed to offer advice, assistance, tips, tricks, and techniques used by veteran players to the Ryzom newbies. This event is a favorite of alot of people, so we've decided to do another one :0). I believe this will be our 5th or 6th Academy event.

Academy is set up as follows:
Scattered about the town will be designated "classrooms" set up. An escort team will be provided that will show lost souls to the classrooms they are looking for. Homins may take up to 4 of the basic classes listed below followed by 1 advanced class. Each class is 30 mins long and the event is set up in a round robin (classic high school rotation type) setup. Total event time is 3 hours. Teachers each will teach 4x 30 minute basic classes, followed by 1x 30 minute advanced class.

Classes are (pending teachers):
Fight
Magic
Craft
Harvest
Scouting/Mob Tracking
History of Atys
Action/Stanza Building

Anyone wishing to attend, just be present in Pyr at the time of the event :0). Anyone that wants to teach a class is more than welcome to; just get up with me in game. If you aren't comfortable teaching but would still like to help out, you still can be a part of the escort team :0). /tell Gfunk or in game email.

Please let me know if anyone is doing an alternative preparation. 23:00 GMT is quite late for GMT+2 players on a weekday.

it was a very nice event and I learned a lot.

I had liked to be present at all classes so I want to ask you
if you plan to repeat the academy in the future.
