how many extra skill points do you end up with in each tree?

Post by faedyne »

I wanted to know how much room I have to play around with. I keep hearing about people who bought out the entire skill tree and have tons of points left over, but I wanted to know how much, and whether that might slow things down mid-way...
my crafting and digging is falling behind. my jungle dig is only 140, and my highest crafting is 112 medium pants. my healing is up to 208, and my 1H and CC is 123 each. I was thinking of putting some of those points into at least 1st level crafting for the other lands.
almost wish I could spend MORE points across skill trees!

magic SP - plenty left over
Fight SP - would be the same if i leveled it
Harvest SP - getting there, soon no skill to buy left then it will pile up
Craft SP - loads of plans left to buy, as soon as you start to craft several races you spend a lot of SP

I think that only tree part with points problem is crafting (unless you craft jewels and high level armor). With 2 magic (example: heal and elem), 2 melee and 2 harvest trees you have more then enough sp. Still, you can easy manage to get enough craft sp.

i level 2 harvest branches, and have used spare sp there to get the craft starter packs from other races. the sp are piling up as a lot of the tracking stanza's are duplicated in one way or another so its poinless getting them all.

now crafting in all 4 races hehe, an amazing sp drain; but if u buy q100 jewels and seeds from merchants and level all jewel lines to 100 u generate a lot of SP.. does hurt the bank balance a bit though ;)

Atleast all this info breaks up the rumours inside me, when i first played this game i thought every sp will be used to buy every stanza/action in the game, i'm guessing i was wrong now :)

It sounds like any skill tree that has excess points can be used. I have a lot of fight skill points, but my magic is higher.
I've actually heard people tell me to not spend my harvest skill points on dex/will/focus self-heal, but crafting, since they said you end up with so many extra craft skill points. right now I haven't found that to be the case because I'm low level in crafting.

I have 1585 Harvest Spell Points with nothing to use them on. I also had spent some of my harv points on hp as well as invul, speed etc..

I find that advice given to you completely wrong :p

I think all of the trees have plenty of extra point but some are quicker to get to those extra points than others.

I find that Magic is the quickest tree to end up with extra points, followed closely by Fight. Harvest and Crafting are both quite a bit slower to get to the level where you have a lot of extra points but you can get there eventually.

With magic, you can end up with extra skill points by L50, depending on your chosen path whereas with crafting, it may be as far as L150 before you start seeing the points pile up (this really depends on how broad your crafting is).

So many skill points.... so few skills

Post by reynjl0 »

Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to have certain skills that would require a lot of skill points to purchase that would reward those players who worked hard to level up multiple trees? I have 923 extra magic skill points which don't look like they are going to go anywhere; I would feel so much better if they could be put to use somehow, even if the skill is sorta crappy. How does this sound: a unique non-regional elemental spell that costs (200, 350, 500, 1000 even ?) skill points to get and you can only purchase at level (200, 225, 250 ?). The total lack of new spells past 125 is rather, uhm, unexciting for higher level mages. It could be something neat and mulit-elemental like supernovae, gravity hole, dematerialization, whatever....just takes a lot of skill points and would be difficult to get. How about the same deal with afflictions? A sp expensive off or deff aff spell which would be unique and only available at higher levels.

Just please give us an incentive to reach higher levels and let us use those sp somehow.
