How much memory do you have?

I am on a 256K connection and I have absolutely no lag.

I do however, have 1 gig of memory.

Players on dial-up report next to no lag.

I played SWG and Horizons with this setup and they were lag hell.

Also, there are ATI issues. Something about needing to use GL.

The only lag I have is when getting into areas tightly congested with NPCs.

Turning down the graphics settings on people helped a lot with this. I went from high to normal with little visual difference but reduced my lag a lot.

I have 512 meg of RAM on my system, and an ATI 9800 Pro video card.

If you are experiencing latency problems, it could be related to your local ISP or hardware. If the problem persists and is not related to insufficient hardware, please provide our customer support with traceroutes to the server. I recommend sending 3 traceroutes from different times of the day.

Based on your traceroutes we can contact the relevant Carrier or ISP to sort out the issue.

Sounds like maybe you have too little memory, or a slow CPU.

Im on 1mb ADSL and this game runs like a dream, not a single moment of lag in my weeks of gaming. I cant even remember anyone even mentioning lag in massive parties, which coming from Horizons is one hell of a relief.

In fact the smoothness of the game is always commented on when new people come from other games.

Can't say I've experinced much lad.

Certainly not game ruining. The odd mob lagging off somewhere, but get that in any game.

XP3200+ and Nforce DDR 400 board en route as a quick upgrade too. Not that I need it for this game. I have everything maxed and vid AA'ing.

Hi i play at 1280 x 1024 with everything on full detail, 4x anti aliasing and 8x anistropic filtering and have experienced no lag whatsoever.

My rig is :-

amd athlon xp 2600 (2ghz)
1024 mb ram
Ge force fx 5700 256mb
half meg dsl connection.

I have played many mmorpg's and never have i been able to play in a complete lag free environment like this.

You must have something wrong with your rig mate.
