One step forward

Post by micrix »

Hello Homins,

its now about four month since i left refugee island. The first i did was foraging all around Fairhaven. Soon i had earned the dappers to buy me my first packer. I started to travel to Avendale and Windermeer. Always my packer with me.

I prospected many sources and found out that Lakeland is blessed by nature.
At this time i met two friendly Tryker. One guided me to the rich sources of Winds of Muse, the other one cleared me a path with his waving sword to the plenty of Fountain. There, in this friendly and safe atmosphere i made quite a fortune which allowed me to buy two more packers and even a mount after weeks of hard work. This was the same time when i decided to move to Windermeer and to live there. Every day there i send a smile and a short prayer to the waterfall, which is like some say a sign of fortune and wealth.

It was also in Fountain where destiny decided to start me a career as healer. Since having enough dappers i was able leave the pick behind for a while and travel to Matis. There, up at Towerbridge, i worked many days for the Kincher hunters. A hard and bloody job as you might know. Day and night, in the hot summersun and in the icy winterwind i stood on the cliff and did my best to care for all those brave hunters. But after all this hard work i was rewarded and i was allowed by sensei to call myself a Healer.

When comming home to Windermeer i had to realize that equipment costs dapper and that my put aside has shrunken horrible.

Having no family there was only one way. Going back to Fountain and start to learn making my own equipment. This was the hardest time i ever had on Atys mainland. I wished my pick more then one time to hell or even bader places.

Then after some weeks of digging only i had made it. I was able to make most of the things i needed. Additionally i was quite rich again and i had mastered Fountain. Sensei rewarded me with the allowance to use some more titles but also told me that this the time to learn the old and mighty secrets of Atysian magic.

So it was again a good-bye to the pick and i went to Dew Drops harversting Stingas, to Min-Cho harvesting Psykopla and at last i guarded foragers in sandy and hot Thesos or supported hunters in Dyron or in the weird region of Flaming Forest or even up to The Void in Zorai where your die in an eyeblink if you loose concentration only for a second.

In this time i learned alot. I saw many new places, saw materials never seen before, met many homin of different races. Met believers and atheists. The last steps of this education where really painful but the reward was compensating it all. I was allowed to call myself a Destroyer and was initiated into the mighty secrets of air, fire, poison and electricity by each races magical sensei. I was deeply honored and full of joy because now i was able to explore and travel quite save a huge part of Atys.
This gave me the bravery to start foraging in the prime roots. One day in the future i would like to make my cloth, armors and weapons out of those wonderful materials.

Now my last wish was to master the arts of swordsmanship. I went back to Windermeer and started to learn the very high art of creating waving swords. Another phase of dusty work awaited me there in Fountain but after many hours i was able to hold my first selfmade waving sword in my hands. I felt so proud and nearly invincible this moment.

Yesterday then was the moment where sensei allowed me to use the title of a heavy armsman. A moment of joy and pride. I had earned now a title in all atysian arts available. The moment where the elders told me that i am no child any longer and that it is the time to choose a tatoo. A small rite was held at Three Pillars in Winds of Muse and i was tatooed on the forhead.

I want to thank all homin who travelled with me, who fighted with me, who digged with me and who healed me. I now know it is a honour to be a Homin and to be a Tryker. *bow*

I first met you as a nervous child, lacking confindence, in skill and purpose.

This day you have proved youself a man and a wise one at that.

You, my good friend, will never be alone. For all the peoples of Atys are you family and you have earned the respect and trust of all those who have had the honour to walk with you on your journey.

Have you arrived at your journey's end?

I think not. I see you growing stronger and your name will be known through out the lands. The Wise Psylo, friend of the Homins.
