Sugestions : Crafting more plans and More

Hi ,

I think that the crafting leveling is nice , But I think that there should be more to it then whats currently availaible.

Let me explain.

- I think , for one , that there should be more plan availaible, This add diversity and is a bit more fun for crafter.
- I think , for two , that a lot of plan should be availaible for a big fee , as a form of dampers dump.
- I think , for three , that there should be a device/or room/or machine/or npc
that when given an item , it can give you back the plan of the item , and that as a failure rate of 1/15 at random.
- I think that boss NPC/mobs when killed should drop plan for crafter to make items.
- I think that there should be uber item plan given by some NPC when you complete the mission they give out.

- I think that Nevrax should be making a Crafting plan add-ons for sale so that some crafter can get some uber equipment plans for a fee as a product.

And that there should be a competition for artist to submit new item for the game for some prize that would be used to make more plan for the game.

I completely agree! I made a post regarding this too ( What about new options? )

Crafting is what i enjoy the most in this game, and i wish to see more plans in the future, i hope a near future!

Also, break an item to see the ingredients. That would work only with item in good condition and should have big failure rate.

There could be a complete reverse engineering skill tree.

Would be fun to see ppl buying max dam/speed weapons just to break them to see what was the ingredients.

But then, information about super recipies would spread too quickly... Maybe we would need a recipe obfuscation skill tree too. :)

Also, how about underwear plans to get some HQ underwear instead the default one.

All I have seen suggested so far are from:

Earth and Beyond
Horizons
Starwars

Can you people only recycle ideas? Since I guess the Ryzom developers know these games as well, there are reasons why they didn't pick up some of this, besides the usual copyright and trademark issues.

Nothing wrong with bringing up an idea that's been used in another game. They can still be good ideas. Crafting in Ryzom gets a bit bland after you pass the halfway point. Heck, I've found it pretty bland way before then. I agree that there should be something done to make crafting more interesting and I think a lot of the ideas presented above are good.

Also, I wouldn't trust that the developers know these other games much at all. People always assume that a game developer plays a lot of other games. This is quite often not the case at all. When it's your job to work on a game all day, it's nice to get away from that and do something else that has nothing to do with a computer game.

Fiding good mat combos for good stats is quite interesting as it involves getting specific mats and playing around with them.

But I do not like crafting lvling how it is now. Getting lvls or crafting items is just based on mats supply and actual crafting action is even more boring than digging.

Maybe there could be some kind of bar game involved incrafting an item with own stanzas and all. Bar game reward could be increased success rate or reduced mats usage resulting in more crafting xp. Also, degrading crafting action could be saved by throwing in some more mats. Lots of opportunities here...

I have just taken up range wep crafting & I would like to see imcreased magazine sizes (as progression) and as launchers are in, why not machine guns?
We have been playing many game years (anybody know how many) and surely innovation must be happening?
