Just need to know it's not just me. A question about the time it takes to load Ryzom.

Ok, I login just fine and dandy. However, once I pick my character, it takes forever to load Ryzom. I just need to know if anyone is having this trouble since I do not know how to go about figuring out if it's my comp that's too slow.

Now, beforehand, I was able to load the game quite fast. My connection hasn't changed or anything. So is it because of the server? I do not get much lag at all while I'm playing and can teleport just fine. In fact, I run my game with maxed out graphics and whatnot and I play just like I have when I was on the NA server.

This is not confirmed, but the way I heared most of the 'loading' at the start is setting up the graphic on *your side*. There is not that much exchange with the server. Therefore, maybe defragmenting your drive might help since I also *heared* Ryzom can fragment your drive quite badly.

Other than that, I would run that 'check data' option at the log in, just to make sure my files are the way they should be.

But I'm not really a technical type, so maybe I'm talking nonsense here.
