There are plenty of low level spawns to kill on the mainland. I wouldn't say its too bad as long as you don't stray too far and have good equipment. I have yet to take a char to any higher than 15 before jumping to the mainland so don't worry, you'll be able to kill on the ML.

I think he may be referring to whether or not he can handle the mainland at level 20. My answer is stay on the island for as long as you can bear it. Honestly it is a great safe haven for leveling, because as soon as you step on to the mainland, it becomes open game and let me tell you.... it can be rough. Personally I went to the mainland after level 30 this time around.

Well, I installed the game last night and spent maybe three or four hours learning the interface and dealing with the new key commands -- I'm a transplant from SWG, my first mmorpg experience. Until I can handle a pack of those wolf things solo, I'm not leaving the island. I've been killed at least three times by the gringo/dingo/wolfies. I miss /burstrun...

I did team with a player named Jabez for a bit. Having a spellcaster healing me constantly while I whacked at monsters was pretty sweet.

Are there no limits to how often a caster can cast a spell? Or are these such low-level spells that it didn't sap his ... er ... Sap?
