Just a quick note to inform you that the main and toughest part of the merge between the Artispotle and Windermeer shards, performed on Monday, was successful. The highly critical operations needed for the shard merge kept the system engineers busy for 19 hours, and the few glitches that occured were quickly fixed. Now, 24 hours after the reopening, we can confirm you that everything is running fine. Tomorrow afternoon, between 12 am and 2 pm (Paris time), there will be a quick patch to add the final touch such as honorific titles for the characters who originated from Windermeer. Today at 3:15 pm Paris local time, all shards became unavailable or were lagging for about 20 minutes. The issue was coming from an old friend currently dying: the Windermeer shard. External engineers from the US datacenter rebooted the servers without alerting the Nevrax system engineers, who were performing the necessary operations to remove Windermeer from the global database.

So Windermeer booted up and created a conflict with the UK login service, which led to inconsistencies. All servers are now back up and running.

It was the last song of the swan... Farewell, Windermeer !
