Game Suggestion for travel and foraging

Since my main toon, Rasta, is a Tryker and I primarly play in the Tryker area I've a couple of game suggestions. Just curious what other folks think about these.

According to the Tryker lore, we were good sailors at one time. So then, why can we not have boats for transportation around Tryker lands instead of Mektob mounts? It would be a more practical and in charactor with our race.

My other suggestion is a foraging one. Since we Trkers are surrounded by water and I see fish all over the place, why not grant us a foraging ability like fishing?

Hopefully some other folks who play in the Zorai, Matis, and Fryos zones can think of something 'special' about the areas they play in which might equate to what I've listed above. Afterall, we each have different armor and weapons for our zones so why not different transportation and foraging abilities?

Any thoughs fellow homins?

I think boats would be too restrictive to introduce as an actual form of transportation. At best, you would have the relatively small area of water connecting the Tryker cities and into the region directly south (Resting Water?). If, later on, an river system was introduced to the lands (please give us a river, I want one in the Witherings so bad) then I could see a use for boats.

As for fishing, I would love to see it as a leisure activity. Having a harvesting ability on the fish would probably not work as there is no food in Ryzom. You could have them give quartered mats like regular creatures, but then there would have to be some kind of risk vs. reward which would be a headache.

I like the creativity of the idea, but the problem is that once you get past the q50 zones there really isn't much connecting water, just a few lakes - or even within the q50 zones for that matter, the hills surrounding Darkmoor won't let you go in a boat either. Harvesting in lakes would also be a pain given they'd have to rewrite the allowed actions.

Nice thought though. I'd really like to see some unique abilities assigned to the races.

Instead of boats, why not hovercraft!?!?

Or mounts with Flippers! Ahahahahaha.
