Hello,
On the first couple of days after I got Ryzom I could only play the game for 6-15 minutes before I would get an Access Violation. After checking the boards and going on chat and trying the things like the router ports issue. Which didn't fix the problem I thought to myself I wonder if something is up with my memory. I have an Athlon 64 with Mushkin lvl2 black memory SPD 222. So I thought well what if I change the timings to 232. Eventhough I haven't had issues in other games, maybe something is up with this game. Sure enough I haven't had any crashing and absolutly no issues since changing my memory timings to 232. This might work for other people or even if you are over clocking maybe clock a little lower. This game seems to be very taxing on resources and even if other games work it may help Ryzom. I know it did for me.

Access Violation Fix That Worked For Me
Re: Access Violation Fix That Worked For Me
I'll give that ago if my problem persists as i am overclocking though my RAM timings are on "optimal" and so not as tights as your 2,3,2.
Although not done very scientifically i defraged my hard drive which made no difference, then i changed my graphics from "auto" to Direct3d and switched off software sound in the ryzom config screen and re-installed directx and "so far" there have been no Access Violations, if this helps anyone.
