Re: Fyros Teaching Event
Great idea. (I've never really understood how to get started in Foraging beyond simply digging up the ready-made sources outside of town, so that part really appeals to me.)grandma wrote:Homins may take up to 4 of the basic classes listed below followed by 1 advanced class.
Question: By "world tour", do you mean essentially a giant Trek? That's even better. I have a friend that should be getting to Fairhaven soon that could really use this and another in Yrkanis. Roughly, what time to you hope to arrive in Fairhaven and Yrkanis?grandma wrote:Thursday 2005-02-17 @ 20:00/8pm EST, will have a world tour going from Zora -> Fairhaven -> Yrkanis -> Pyr.
Too bad you're starting in Zora; that's the one set of teleport tickets I don't have yet.

Re: Fyros Teaching Event
world tour starts from the capital of Zorai (Zora) and travels to each land's capital city, ending up in fyros (where our teaching event is going to be held this weekend).
Re: Fyros Teaching Event
Great idea! This event will be very useful to the newcomers.

Re: Fyros Teaching Event
most of my treks in the past always ended up at zorai, meaning that the zorai didn't get a chance to go anywhere since that's where the atys tours ended...this time we're starting in zorai and since it's ending in fyros for the teaching event ...pretty much goes counter clockwise around the world map :0)
Re: Fyros Teaching Event
Just my luck. The only place I haven't been to... is where you're starting this one. Oh, well. I'll just have to be patient. Another one will come along eventually.grandma wrote:most of my treks in the past always ended up at zorai, meaning that the zorai didn't get a chance to go anywhere since that's where the atys tours ended...this time we're starting in zorai and since it's ending in fyros for the teaching event ...pretty much goes counter clockwise around the world map :0)
The good news: My wife got her first character off newbie island last night, so we'll be joining the tour in Fairhaven. Thanks, GFunk, for organizing this.

Re: Fyros Teaching Event
Wouldn't returning to Zorai be a true world tour...I too have been everywhere except Zorai. I'd ask you to consider doing a complete circuit.
Re: Fyros Teaching Event
the problem i would think would be time. It would be hard to fit so much in for anyone (at least i would imagine so ) GFunk does them all the time, so it will not take long before you get to make it to zoraiquasar11 wrote:Wouldn't returning to Zorai be a true world tour...I too have been everywhere except Zorai. Re: Fyros Teaching Event
Yes, It would be hard to go all the way around. As it stands we ran into a little trouble in Loria. It was unusual in that we really only had 1 team of killers. Usually a trek to this extent will have 2 or 3 of those groups. Starting at 8, we made it to Tryker, and then Matis. I left the group at 1:30 in YRK. I needed sleep. The trek from there to Thesos should have only been ~40 mintues more, but then on to Pyr. for another 10-15.
So that is on the order of 6+ hours almost non-stop. Please understand a trek of this distance is not easy.
