Newbie guild "Fyros Imperial Academy"

Post by blogie »

"this guild is an id but wont be done by me but i can sponsor somboddy to start it."

Hello all,

I just wanted to knowe if you "officers and leaders" would help a guild who would recrute new players and help them understand the basics and learn them the ways of ower server. Training grounds, tactical advise and a chat channel.

After a serten level (80) they would leave the guild and be "reddy" to joine the real Guilds.

This inisiative could be sponsord by a lod of guilds and could also give a reference. They can leave sooner or later but eventualy they can be helpt and advised.

Officers and leader ar the onlyones who will not get booted out of the guild at level 80. This would give the guild a sence of "they ar no traed and do good work".

Sponcorship in this will be crutial. Not in dapper but in level 80/- armor and wepons.

By my reconing far cheper then exelent light q 160 armor :)

Fire away and let knowe yor opinion.

I think it should be Imperial, not Royal.. Royal is for Matis..

I think this is a good idea- however who would lead this guild? do you propose that officers from other guilds quit and start this one?

That could work but it would be good to have a rotating system so that diferent officers from different guilds can have their input! This is especially important if we want to keep it fair so that the noobs arent pointed in one particular direction (ie towards any guild in particular)!

Another thing- the noobs that are recruited to this guild will have access to lots of items- which is potentially going to be quite expensive! Therefore maybe i suggest that upon the noob graduating from the guild they have to join a new one! - Like a contract!

Just a couple of ideas

Anyway- you have my support on this one!

At first I though this was a good/great idea, but once I had a talk with some people they reminded me that when you get a bunch of "n00bs" together in a bunch, its a guild. Guilds don't generally want to split up, so I'm not sure how they would have any incentive to leave the huge bunch of similar lvl mates they have in this academy for a bunch of people they hardly spoke to before...
In conclusion I think that its a good idea, but something else is needed to do what it wanted to do ;)

If this is gonna actually happen send me a tell or email me in game.
I'm quite interested by it

i think its good that noobs get given this treatment cos it persuades them to stay in the game and also it stops them from being ripped off at the merchants (no offence guys). Something like this is obviously gonna be a real helping hand to them.

I dont rip people off, I'm a ligitimate businessman only 100% mark up :P . And I even give most of my equipment away to newbies.

no dont get me wrong I'm happy for new people to join guilds and get more out of the game but surely they are not having problems getting entrance to the ones that are already established. Like someone pointed out some people might be reluctant to leave when they have made friends and so on.

personally I think if you want to help newbies give them 20k to buy armour sort them a sword/amps and follow them round for a while unteamed and heal them between fights. if everyone spent a little time doing those things it would make them feel a whole lot more welcome.

another one for you high lvl people would be to do mini trips to dyron and thesos for them so they get the spawns (if in the desert that is)

Our guild accepts people of all levels and they recieve free equipment, get to participate in team hunts and benefit from the knowledge of our more experienced members. New members aren't sectioned off from the rest of the guild so they should feel a part of things from the moment they are accepted.

With our new recruitment process, applicants will hopefully earn and learn a few things before entering the guild.

Your idea would be useful if there is a level requirement for a guild though. But in that case I think that guild should run the academy.
