The game's NPC names have been increased, not completed (for obvious reasons, I'd rather have them work on important matters). There are a few names (such as the Armlet) that still don't work correctly, but are so insignificant, it doesn't really matter.
One of the best changes is that the original tabmenu provided in the lower right corner for functions has been expanded to include other game functions (including Player-Email!). This menu has also been made semi-transparent, so less baddies sneak up on us folk.
Major Difference from End of Beta to Retail
Re: Major Difference from End of Beta to Retail
The game has gotten a lot less crashy since beta and there have been some must-needed improvements like better menus. Other minor changes...newbie island mats are capped at 20 (although there are a lot more spots), critters on newbie island seem capped as well, and some critters on the mainland feel harder.Unregistered wrote:<snark>
Yeah... we could *play* the beta.

Signed,
Unregistered user, still waiting on my preorder.
As I've posted elsewhere though, a lot of the obvious translation bugs and unnamed power/quest bugs are still very readily apparent, the preorder item is a broken shield, your title doesn't work, and I am still very very hesitant to roll up a race besides Zorai (even though the newbie quests aren't working either for that race) since I have yet to hear from fellow ATI users if their cards work with Trykers and there's no configuration program to rescue you if you choose the wrong setting ingame. Having rebuilt my desktop once upon crash, I ain't taking that risk unless I get confirmation things work.
Combine that with the massive distribution and marketing problems and this is probably the worst MMORPG launch in history. The underlying game is still sound and has promise, but we'll see. Vendors in the announced first patch will help.
