Game Crashes on Log In

Since the patch 2.3, I can no longer log into the game. The game crashes when I try to log in. I've tried both Direct 3D and Open GL. Both crash the game. Not sure what else to try at this point.

Same thing happens to me. I get an "access_violation" or something like that error. I start to see my toon, the information boxes start to populate, and then poof the screen goes dark and I get thrown out with an error message.

Reported this in Klient. Plangent said others have reported the same error and they are working on it. He even asked me to send him via email a debug file from the ryzom folder, which I did. I hope they will fix this soon.

Sounds good. I sent my debug report through the standard channels. Hopefully they will get this one figured out.

I can't even get that far!

I crash "runtime error" as soon as patch starts:

"Can't delete file: data/bagne_shapes.bnp (13.permission denied)"

Plangent told me on the Klient that they'd post something about this problem in the forum. So far I don't see anything. I'd like to know if this problem has been taken care of. Any word, Cerest? I'm hoping to be able to play tonite.

I did play last nite without the access violation error on log in, so I'm assuming they fixed that particular error in the followup patch.

At least you guys are getting error messges. I get a message that says I've been disconnected and if I quit to try to get back in after 30 seconds. I can't even get to the character select screen.

to have ryzom do a full checksum test do the following:
then download total commander from http://www.ghisler.com, navigate it to your ryzom folder, mark it once by rightclicking go to files -> change attributes, activate recurse subdirectories and change date/time, then click current and click ok, after that it seemingly freezes for a bit, once it reacts again start ryzom and let it patch

that fixes most patch related crashes
