So, the question... am I right? Is the 'excess' XP lost when levelling? If that was true for the beta, is it still true in the game?

I "believe" that since the 3K XP cap was put in place there was no longer a need for that cutoff... I dont pay it no mind as it's not like you leap across a level threshold.

Is it really that much of an issue? Compared to the number of successes you need to complete a level, does 1/2 a success matter all that much?

I hadn't realized this was the case. I had been assuming leveling crafting was like leveling combat skills, where 1000exp still required a good number of kills to rise in level.
