And how does an ass-kicking hurt you? Kick their ass back.
If outposts are meant to be fought over, then fight over them. But do it politely. Your fellow players are not your mortal enemies just because they did a different faction alignment rite. Maybe your characters are mortal enemies, but hey, most of you who squabble incessantly over this stuff are not roleplayers, so that's moot.
Let your neighbour have things for the sake of making it so mutually fun outpost battles can be had, people won't be driven away by visciousness and selfishness, and people don't feel a need to say the community is dead.
Jack, Malmont is a Kami OP, you take yourself and go attack it whenever you want. If you take it, then make it a community OP i'll take my hat off to you. You won't though, your saying this for the sake of argument. It would be another KA OP owned by the KA. If i'm wrong, take yourself from these forums and go prove it..you may take it Jack, but you haven't got it in you to make it a community one

oh rly?
edit my bad
so if I take the community OP and set up my own you dont mind?
thought now you gave the other away malmont is the community one?
oh, you mean there isnt a community op no more?
Malmont was taken by EoA as their guild only OP. It's why it was their guild that declared on it. EoA are kami so therefore there own personal OP is also. Where is the confusion, what's the problem?
I haven't posted on Ryzom forums for quite a long time, and only came to this thread through the kami forums. But.. here goes...
Now, it's pretty obvious to all those without blinkers on that Brave (and not just Brave) does an amazing job of running the community OP, and has done so unselfishly for months. So I'm not going to say much about that here.
I have to say I am completely mystified by the kara fundies' responses to the release of a community OP outpost into the pool of those OPs they can attack. Call me cynical if you will, but I just can't see you guys shedding a tear over the loss of a community OP that never benefitted you as so-far secure OP-holders.
Instead of proclaiming "Wee, we have one more OP we can try to take, get to it kids", you're crying that you're all hurt by the disappearance of a community OP, and how much trust you've lost, and that, since a community OP has been lost "grab yer pitchforks and torches, let's take the rest of them!". To me that's just as dumb as a box o' hammers. What are you afraid of.. that Brave might... [dun dun duuuuun] give another one away to another kami guild someday? Oooh, the horror of having a kami guild own an OP for a few days before you can attack it.
I think the only real mistake Brave made was posting one thread to mention both her attack and giving away the community OP. A pretty minor one when you look at it from a detached (rather than political) viewpoint. Does anyone posting here genuinely, hand on heart, believe that a single person came to attack Malmont in order to get given an outpost themselves? Or are you saying that's all it would take to bring yourselves running to the aid of someone you wouldn't otherwise help? How about next time we attack a Q250 KA OP, we offer half the KA guilds a Q200 OP to show up and help us. By your reckoning, we'd get all the support we needed.
I believe someone mentioned honesty.. so just be honest yourselves, and just say "Weee, now we might have enough support to take those community OPs too, so let's go do it, there just aren't enough OPs in KA hands yet..."
I am fairly certain I could find people within AA that would create alts or use their normal characters to help out in supporting a nonkami, neutral player centered program.

I don't much like your omission of the word 'nonkara' as well as nonkami Pero, it starts you off on the wrong foot from the start Maybe i'm being picky, well I probably am. But actions speak waaay louder words. I love the idea..go do it..i'll help...whatever. Cool
