I can't agree with the "just like" cause if you were using cats, that would be 12k. And a team next to you pulling one at a time, all things being equal, would still go faster.
They just aren't needed if you are creative and have a well-balanced team.
Having a well balanced team is key to efficient progression. A team of 3 who stays within 3 levels or so of one another can really rock. Let's say you already have one master and are working up secondary skills. You reach level 175 and can no longer solo w/o sitting and have 2 friends at level 188. Using cats so you can catch up a bit,... you should get to 200 about the same time.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not promoting a "pro cats" position. But given the limitations on supply, if I'm gonna use cats, I am gonna use them for crafting simply to save me the drudgery of digging more and more mats while my dig levels have been maxed out for what seems like forever.
I don't really understand the "rush" to get to 250 in melee and magic skills other than "the circle", ..... said term being defined as:
"I need to get more levels so I can better defend our OP so I can continue to get cats so I can continue to get more levels so I can better defend...."
I'd be happy to see cats work only on crafting or to have cats work for say "up to 10% of levels (25) max" in each skill tree. If we take cats out completely, I'd hope to see something to negate the endless nights of "mat collection".
