This isn't intended to wind anyone up but just to point out a fact.

If no-one can see that taking an OP that was given to the community by a neutral guild and giving it to a Kami guild could be taken as misguided at least, then perhaps people should consider what they may think should the shoe be on the other foot.

I got a solution, DONT USE CATS and you wont need an OP :)
You dont need to have an OP to have fun, let whoever wants to
attack an OP do that, i heard enough of Kami and Kara B***s**t.

Hint,
Have twice as fun without cats ;)

I´m sorry guys,

but this has got to be the most ludicrous thread I´ve ever read so far on these boards.

It´s very, very sad, that some of you after all these years, resp. month they are playing, don´t have the presence of mind to realize that taking Game Conflicts to a personal level only leads to stupid counterproductive arguments like this one.
It´s interesting how fast this thread devolved into a Kami vs. Karavan thing again. And it´s interesting to see that it´s always the same people, who do not seem to posses at least a tiny remnant of common sense anymore, or have given it to the friendly guy/girl at the door to the Game to be hung up next to their RL-Personalities.

For the sake of the Argument, and maybe somone will argue my point here too, you´re acting like Horde and Alliance here. Choose wichever you are yourself :p I´m sure it´ll involve much bikkering and flaming.

Even if this argument is as old as the Genre itself I hereby say it out loud:
*takes a deep breath*:
"GET A LIVE!!!"
"It´s a GAME, for gods sake!"
If someone makes a dumb decission, yes it was his/her own fault and he/she is in for a scolding.
But using this to actually damage an effort done for the good of the Game we all play "together" is simply as low as it can get.

Any Human with at least a tiny bit of common sense should know and realize that "Propaganda" is just lies and missinformation.
Propaganda - in effect, hollow slogans to whipe the masses into a frenzy and to shut off their minds to do the bidding of whomever is in charge.

If you like to be led by the nose by some who do play better on the rethoric flute than others, well... that´s sad.

And why am I suddenly reminded of a specific thread some days ago, where we all assured someone that
"Noooo, our community is still great, and we all do just play and there ain´t no such things as unnessecary flamewars or dumb discussions here in Ryzom. Those who say different, just by looking at the boards, surely must be mistaken."

Shame on you, I say.

Shame on those who can not stand others having a bit more then themselves.
Shame on those who can not elevate themselves above such petty namecalling and accusations.
Shame on those who do not think of the consequences of their deeds before acting and promising things that are sure to cause a riot.
Shame on those who act like children in a sandpit, throwing around mud and not careing what others might think of them.
Shame on those who truly seem to "live the game".

(If you find misspellings, keep them :p )

that is 50% of the problem here, on atys faction vrs faction is a recent thing and for many old players not what they wanted.

Being forced into fighting against friends purly because of fame is plain stupid imo.

We are the only server who have outpost wars as faction vrs faction (mainly because of the founding member of the KA) having a FvF event in old lands before OPs being introduced was silly too, these things have caused the situation we have today, and everyone needs to lighten up about factions. (long past caring, judge people on what they are like to you not by their guild or fame)

Untrue.

On Leanon there´s FvF too but a long time not as silly as here.

And for beeing "forced" to fight friends.
True friends would just play-fighting and not go at each others throats like this. *shakes head*
Talk about blameing others for your own folly and restructuring reality.

When the community OP program was just content to just call the KA evil, or greedy, or people who don't understand friendship, and of course tantrum throwing jerks we could live with that, maybe even, at times, support it a bit. Their was a line between the Kami and the Community OP project. That line is now gone.

If the Karavan own more of the OP's then any other group it prolly means that is the largest most cohesive group of players. When the decision was made to attack Malmont by the Kami and the "community" (Brave did not attack alone.) It signaled a level of aggression that makes it difficult to ignore. If the "community" OP was/is such a wonderful open minded operation, why has it chosen to declare war on over 40% of the players of the game?

The illusion that there was a group that could work separately from the factions was appealing, that illusion is now gone. Overtime, perhaps another "moderate" group will arise that both factions can trust. That is the real loss here, trust.

Again: the attack was not made in name of "the dune farm farmers" a neutral guild. It was an attack by "Eye of Atys" a very kami guild since the very beginning, and no-one ever denied that or tried to hide it...

That is why the raffling off of the community OP is so significant. It shows that in this instance the "Eyes of Atys" was the dominant personality controlling "Dune Farm Farmers". That EoA felt they could freely use the resources of the "community" to advance their Kami cause.
