No, but it will surely shine a light on what they devs are doing and not doing.
cerest wrote:Plus not all "bugs" are bugs. Many things will be working as intended and get reported as a bug. I'm afraid that I cannot allow a player-posted list of bugs on the official forums since there are already ways to report such things.
This doesn't surprise me at all. If the players are allowed to be aware of how many REAL bugs exist in the game and are ignored, it will only increase the discontent. Plus, a public list which you would have to validate would show the world and the players how many non-working things there are in the game, and how long it takes for the devs to get around to fixing them. Bad publicity for sure.

I'd also like to point out, Cerest has posted to this thread several times without refuting that the teleporters are broken. The devs know they are broken, knew they were broken when they launched the game retail, and continue to ignore them in favor of things like creating empty harvest sources. Unless it is a nerf, the only thing devs pay attention to are the things enough people scream about.

Does anyone doubt why Nevrax and the CSRs don't want a public list?

Generally when you are working on something like this you have at least two teams, one team programming and delivering additional features and content, and another, usually smaller team, following behind fixing the bugs in their wake. If team B doesn't communicate with team A, then you see problems that team A created in a previous patch creep up on future patches even after team B has fixed it, because team A is still pumping stuff out with the original bug.

Cerest posted ONCE to this thread... and no he didn't mention the teles directly. It would be better publicity methinks to actually see some progress made, instead of allowing uninformed people to whine on your forums about all the bugs and scare away potential customers. Really, a lot has been changed, some for the better and some things have been nerfed, but those things are mostly gameplay changes. The actual bugs are not nearly so prevalent as say, Windows 98 when it came out, or Quake2... I have only not been able to play once because of a technical glitch - not counting server downtime of course. I am severely pissed about PR forage right now, as I had been ignoring my other foraging, and now I can no longer grab mats in the PR. Bug? Naw, they nerfed it. Now I have to level my desert forage another 50 levels to go back down and get the good stuff.

Anyhow, I'll stop babbling now... my point is that a list on the forums would go a long way to shutting peoples yaps about things they are listening to over and over, which they are working on. It would also be nice to see how fast they work, and what the priorities are. When you're taking out the garbage, do you really want everyone in the hallway of your aparment building opening the door and telling you to take out the trash? A good example is how fast after the first patch of Chapter 2 they came out with a patch for the patch. It was something like 6 hours. That is pretty impressive when you consider how HUGE this game is and how much code you have to sift through. They did it again for part 2 of chapter 2, only it was even less time I beleive. I have played MMORPGS where you would be lucky if the patch to the patch came out within a week. Just because we are throwing money at them doesn't mean they can go any faster.

Also, Cerest might be able to stop a public list on THESE forums, but he cannot stop users from posting on public forums anywhere, so may as well make an official one with ACTUAL bugs and ACTUAL progress listed instead of some pissed off customers ideas.
