And the game is in desperate need of underwater basket weavers.. you will be most welcome

Windowed mode is normal. The game always starts in windowed mode, and will only switch after the character select screen.bstriege wrote:Once I get ingame I don't have any problems with hardware or software, it's just from the point I start the game to the loading screen when my characte appears in the world. That's where Windowed mode won't go away and I crash or lockup. I posted my specs above, and I can run the game with mostly full settings with no problems once I'm in.![]()
Now you are on your way to learning the combinations that give you the stats that you like. Good crafting is an art and takes dedication to learn as well as a desire to seek out the proper materials.bstriege wrote: So far I've leveled a few skills up and played with the crafting. I love how you can swap the materials around and get different results. I've been mining the start stuff and trying different types of boots.![]()
Ack! Another addict! Didn't your mama teach you not to take substances from strangers?bstriege wrote:Right off the boat from newb town some random person hooked me up with a million item things that double my experience for awhile.

I'm not really sure what's going on here ... Maybe that's why I was dying so much ... What I would do is find a mob I wanted to kill, cast acid on it 1-3 times while it was running at me. Once it got to me I would start the default attack and try to finish it off with melee.
Is that not a good way to do it? I was gaining melee and mage experience when I was actually able to kill something. Should I just be using melee or magic, not both during a fight? Personally I've always preferred melee over magic in every game I've played, so I'd really rather have a melee character with magic as a secondary thought.
I just wanted to ask about this. Being a newbie I thought that crafting has the most skillpoints for spare, and I used 40 points to boost my will and dexterity, to save my harvesting skillpoints on more useful things. Since my character is not very developed, and I do intend on leveling crafting someday, are there any reasons to restart my character?yaten wrote:Just don't use points in crafting for anything you can buy elsewhere, that's where skill points are likely to be tightest.
