[feedback] [dev] Aggro distance
Re: [feedback] [dev] Aggro distance
I beg to differ, Jackoba. Now you can explore whole Atys in weekend or two. There are hardly any diffucult to reach locations anymore. Not much satisfaction of achievement and fun is over too soon IMO. Old way was too harsh but now it is far too easy in higher level regions.

I don't think it was too difficult to explore before, it just took some patience and a little luck -) Now there is no challenge whatsoever, I took a trip to Demons Lap in wastelands a few days ago (probably the hardest place to reach ingame). Got there first time, no deaths, no issues at all. Much, much, much too easy imo. and being able to walk away from KP's and see them disengage after 50m is plain silly

If think the new ranges are an improvement, maybe they need to go up just abit but no need to go mad, if a lower lvl player attempts to persistantly stay in a high lvl area they will end up dead, at least the new ranges give you a chance to think again about where you are and what you may be attempting to do.

I thought Exploring is also ment to be dangerous its no fun at all with out that added sence of achivement. Give em a Mount now and they can get anywhere.dakhound wrote: In terms of hunters not being able to pull prey away..........get closer you powerlevellers hunting is ***supposed*** to be dangerous.
Re: [feedback] [dev] Aggro distance
I see your points but I put forward the question how many people do you usually see in-game in these regions. Its like the whole game is based around the "safe" regions and if you wander off the beaten track you only get one or two people either diggin (near a TP) or on an exploration if they are brave.mmatto wrote:I beg to differ, Jackoba. This change opened up the regions so you can travel and survive a little better and hopefully get out more. Personally I'm sick of the congestion in certain places that means most people stay where they know. How many times have you TP'd to GoC and found 3 teams all clustered around the kami alter.
I know there was a sense of achievement in getting that TP before but I remember the first solo expedition I made was sooooo annoying I nearly gave up.
now I feel "comfortable" in the canyon but still have to be careful. The wastelands is still a nightmare but its challenging rather than impossible the bottlenecks of mobs take care of that.
yes I agree with peoples opinion that given a mount you can now reach anywhere and there may be a slight problem there.
and in answer to the point that exploring is supposed to be dangerous. Well in hunting you activly go out to fight a mob whereas exploring you go out of your way to avoid it.....I think it should be more dangerous hunting. As in the fun of a community though we all have our opinions

Having use a mount to travel though Bounty Beaches and Lagoons of Loria with a character with 1k hps prior to the patch (The mobs don't ever give up days).
I would suggest that the players making the comment that aggro ranges are currently too short, are raising their concerns about the game becoming too easy. I would suggest that this does not make them crazy. Its them expressing an opinion or is this right only reserved to you?

im raising my concerns too so if youd kindly go away and post elsewhere id be gratefull

the game having mobs that never give up was way too extreme the agro ranges as they are set out on the main page seem ok to me they have increased range if your attacking it and less if your not why would it need changing?

Re: [feedback] [dev] Aggro distance
that is incorrect. Prior to the patch mobs did give up, you just needed to run very fast and pick your route carefully. But gosh lets not have a game where u need to have a modicum of skill to do something.helbreat wrote:the game having mobs that never give up was way too extreme...
