I have a question about this sundays event.

I entered the Fyros Heavy Gladiators (2h melee only). I get 1 point for entering the first time, correct?
Then i was set up with a match in that league:
Oneeyes v Trubbel - Fyros Heavy Gladiator league - Trubbel wins
That was quoted from the result list. Now i'm wondering, how will i get points?

I checked the rankings list for Fyros Heavy Gladiators and i was (surprisinlgy enough :P ) on the list. However i only have 1 point listed there. Is this correct or should i get points for my win? (i'm only asking cause i don't know really how it works yet :) )

The points you get are based on the level of opponent on the ladder.

You cannot lose points by fighting (Only by NOT fighting)...

How the Scoring system works

The scoring system may seem complicated, but it is actually quite simple.

Upon entering the league, you recieve one rank point. You may only gain more rank points through fighting other people on the league.

How many points per fight you can win depends on your position in the league to that of your opponent:

If your opponent is 3 rank points or less away from you in the league (eg: you have 5 points, your opponent has between 2 and 8 points) and:

You win - You gain 3 points
You loose - You gain 0 points

If your opponent is 4 or more points higher than you in the league (eg: you have 5 points and he has 9 points or greater) and:

You challenged him and you win - You gain 5 points
You challenged him and you loose - You gain 0 points
He challenged you and you win - You gain 5 points
You challenged him and you loose - You gain 0 points

If your opponent is 4 or more points below you in the league (eg: you have 9 points and he has 5 or less) and:

You challenged him and you win - You gain 0 points
You challenged him and you loose - You gain 0 points
He challenged you and you win - You gain 1 points
You challenged him and you loose - You gain 0 points

As you can see this makes it pointless to challenge people far below you in the league as you can gain nothing from it. However, if they challenge you, you may still earn 1 point.

we need some (lots) high level content for this game,
Why not run 'Gladiators fights' or regular basis 2 times (at different time)/week?
There is many players who want paticipate, but calling GM + finding player prevent to start fights in league, and prevent progressing/fights in league already

Also updating Results on regular basis ....

Hello again everyone :)

First up today are some answers to a few of your comments:

Thetear: I apologise for this mistake in the listings and it’s been corrected now, it was a mistake on my part and fixed. I went through all my notes and checked all the other results so they should be correct now as well, sorry about that. You now have the 3 points for the win you deserved.

Booster and Kostoprav: I would love to run gladiator events several times a week but logistically I just can’t. Unfortunately I don’t have enough time to run these events as often as I would like. Currently I am the only CSR with the knowledge of the leagues to run the big events (although I am working on this). Also, I have real life commitments as well, which restrict how often I can do it. I also have to work gladiator around the other events that are scheduled. However, I did make the leagues in such a way that you can challenge other people at any time and I am trying to make sure that as many CSR as possible know how to judge the fights so that you have the opportunity to fight nearly 24/7 and have the CSR that is covering the server as a judge.

I would also like to thank everyone who attended the latest event, I hope you all had fun and it has helped us kick the team leagues off to a good start. We had some fun team events (1 time teams) at both sessions, a few games and some 1v1 gladiator fights. We also managed to get our first two official gladiator teams to slug it out in the arena, Melinoe and Executioners. If you follow this link then you shall see the results and current standings on the league. Please feel free to register and challenge a team on the league at any time :)

I would also like to apologise in advance because August will probably have less gladiator events than I would ideally like, due to some stuff that has come up in real life for me. However, I still aim to have at least one, possibly two events this month either in the next couple of weeks or more likely at the end of August. Things *should* be back to normal in September and I aim to kick off the Atys wide 1v1 leagues and possibly the lower level leagues around then too!

People have also asked for more updates on the league listings; I am aiming to sort something out soon so that they can be updated more often by me, but I can’t go into detail. All the league lists will be updated today and weekly if I can find the time to sort out all the posts.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to fill my in game e-mail inbox with them and I shall try my best to respond to all of you :) Other than that feel free to challenge anyone on the leagues and call in a CSR to judge if possible.

And have fun on Atys!

- Fight Master Calebrien
