Exactly. Seeing where we started and where we are now should be enough to tell you that these bugs will be fixed, and that there's probably a viable reason as to why the ones that exist now haven't been fixed yet.

On another note, I am in full support of a player-created bug list. Not only list bugs, but list them in order of overall priority. With a bunch of random complaints here and there, and everyone acting like their bug should be the first bug to fix, I can see the devs taking a bit of time trying to prioritize those bugs for us.

So rather than post after post after post... let's get something like the wishlist we have now. Only make it a bug list, and make one of these more seasoned players the mod for it to make it that much easier for us to list/prioritize them. I can only see this benefiting all sides of the quarrel.

EDIT TO EARLIER POST:

Sorry, I was a little short tempered after harvesting for a solid 12 hours hehe. I didn't mean that quite as crudely as it sounded.

Aye, Ryzom has problems, I'll be one of the first to admit that.... perhaps a good solution would be as someone mentioned in this thread earlier:

Make a post listing (in order of importance) the bugs you would like to see addressed... perhaps if enough people have the same general desires it would help the devs decide where to start *grins*

Again, I apologize for sounding crude... that's not my nature at all. Just tired/cranky hehe

So disregard my earlier post ;)

While it might sound like a good idea to post bugs to "let the devs know", there are already tools to let the devs know, the ingame support tool and technical-na@ryzom.com for technical bugs. Having a list of already reported bugs will not help the devs when they are already aware of them.

Plus not all "bugs" are bugs. Many things will be working as intended and get reported as a bug. I'm afraid that I cannot allow a player-posted list of bugs on the official forums since there are already ways to report such things.

Thanks,

We went and tried the Bounty Beaches Karavan TP last night. Still didn't work. We thought that since some of us have reached a high enough level to where we are getting missions from the NPCs in Windermeer for Bounty Beaches, that maybe the Karavan TP in Bounty Beaches was level dependent. Oh well. Either we're still not high enough in level or it is just plain broken....

Sounds nice and all Cerest, but without any feedback people just feel like they are being ignored. I know when I submit a ticket one of you guys respond pronto and let me know if it's a bug or not and also let me know whether or not it's being looked into... but something a little more solid, like maybe a Nevrax Dev diary or something with the bug checklist and a progress meter or maybe just a priority list would go far towards alleviating peoples fears. We are used to publishers not caring about the community, and though you folks haven't really given us much reason to doubt you, we still have those previous interactions on our minds. Anyhow, some official word on the tele's would be nice. Or even make the NPCs say that the tele is closed, or that your fame isn't high enough or isn't the right KIND of fame to use it.. rather than a silence that seems at best a bug and at worst negligence.

They will ether come through or players will go away. The competition is fierce and the bugs that has been around Beta 1 and still have not been fixed is beyond a shadow of a doubt developer's and management fault. Before someone opens up and reiterates the point that other games have bugs..... or that development is a complex process:

I develop and design systems for a living.
I have played online games since 1998.
I'm aware of how complex SDLC could be
I'm aware how many bugs UO, AC and others have.

With that said; the engine runs almost properly. The small things that annoy people are relatively easy to fix. Instead of constantly introducing new content (like pvp [i do want it, it should have been delayed though]) and generating more bugs by doing so, why not fix the old ones first, and then roll the new content out.

Now, someone will discover a bug related to PVP, and this will cause developmental fire that MUST be put out before others; - guess what, others will have to wait, and those are the names, teleporters, invisible walls, unbalanced mobs etc. etc. etc.

The game is good, and this is exactly why i pay my $$ to play it. This is not to be confused with a desire to pay for beta quality software. From my perspective, something has to change, ether the attitude towards bug fixing or competetive game. Whichever one comes first - wins.

The unfortunate component is that, to my knowledge, GMs are not employed by Nevrax, but contracted for support - take a wild guess as to how much input they have into devlopment cycle.

And how are we to know what bugs they are aware of, especially since often we have no idea what is a bug and what is not as has been readily made apparent in this thread with TP sites that are broken.

Cerest, you are levels above your EE counterparts in terms of posting, especially given that you unfortunately support a firm that considers player feedback not something that's particularly important at best. Please consider some compromise here.

Also, for players who really want a bug tracker tool - there's a website up for that. Don't have the link handy.

There's always the possiblity that bugs involve exploits. Why would they post these bugs so that more people could exploit the game?

I'm sure there's other problems the GM's have to attend to other than policing known bugs....like new bugs?

Please explain exactly how making us aware a broken TP spot is known spreads an exploit.

Like consistently creating new bugs with a new patch before they get around to old ones that have existed since FBT, which is how we got started on this thread.
