Ive just downloaded the patch - my previous experience when eve online did a big patch was that when the servers go live the patch being downloaded by LOADS of players meant i couldnt play for about 2 days

I would suggest if you arent getting it yet, go get it whilst its quick to download

of course if nevrax manage to keep up with downloads and still hold a good game speed - major kudos to them.

ya there is usually alot of lag after all the patches on here even when they add an extra 5 hours on top of the downtime to account for the fixing of lag the last big patch we had destroyed the game population this one i hope will maybe bring some back to us

Nevrax use a parallel shard to patch, thats why you can patch but not play atm. Lag from people dl'ing should be non-existant

Talking about the Exodus patch? Well, there's a difference between EVE Online's player-base of (approx) 60,000 and Ryzom's which is (stil)l pretty small compared and should hence not cause as much problems/download queue/lousy dl speeds... But yes, Newrax seem to be handling it fine :) Kudos for that ;)

hmm would be nice to get a count of people online on a whole server in ryzom as we can only measure it by events atm for instance

i saw a post said your wedding had 65 people in one persons /who

the event for the round the world trip had an estimated 100 people involved (feel sorry for the leaders of this unruely garble too lol they had there work cut out getting everyone to listen to them)

maybe a /online command to give the player count or something just for people who really want to know how many people are left playing and to see if our numbers are increasing or degrading
