thats all good ,but of the "new" player base ends up like WoW then ill be gone .. I Tried WoW for 3 weeks and it sucked ... the comunity was really imature and greedy ... and the most usless bunch for a noob ... Ryzom was my First MMO it got me hooked but when I tried WoW I realized that not all MMOs are as nice as this one ... But its the people that make the game.

I love how everyone who mentions PvP must be from WoW and must love WoW. You all do realize that most games have PvP, don't you? Even games like DDO that swore there'd be no PvP are putting it in.
The only way you'd get a "new playerbase like WoW" is if you had a succesfully popular series that had a huge fan base spanning RPG, RTS and FPS players before being turned into an MMO. I don't think you have to worry about that.

hmm I never said that .. infact I like PvP .. When people can control themsevles and not flame like idiots and just have fun...I only related to the crappy ass WoW comunity because thats the only other MMO I'v ever played ... Now my point still stands if the comunity here ever shifts to a WoW like comunity im gone.

Red, relax. You're feeding your own fears here. No one brought up WoW but you. And *again* you're talking about how you would have to leave the game. We've heard that before... we get it.
Cyrish merely commented that people need to be more accepting of PvP play, which you yourself post in favor of. There's nothing to get up in arms over.
Cyrish, I wish you luck if you choose to start a guild. Just be prepared to adapt the hard-line stance as you learn the nuances of Atys politics

PvP just isn't all we are talking about
To sum up:
Red and I spoke about outpost PvP and how we find it normal and fun.
That seems like a rather positive attitude to PvP. Whatever we say on forums and do at op wars I for one consider Red a friend and will gladly eradicate great kinchers with him
What I was saying is that I didn't like players switching from karavan to kami (or back fr that matter) and having an immediate aggressive edge after that. That's it
I am sad that some tryker karavan guilds turn upon matis karavan and side with their "natural enemy". Now that's something about the game mechanics and not PvP. Red on the other hand likes that and it's also onl natural
There was one thing we agreed upon it's that fighting for dappers is fighting without honor
That's morale and philosophy and by no means PvP.
So I am saying it's not about PvP at all
However hot we have discussed quite a few things here
and only a little part of them was PvP.
Now I have a question to Mr. Cyrish : Have you ever done PvP in Ryzom? Have you been to a single OP war? If not then what are you talking about mate?

*sigh* not "up in arms" Simply letting him know I never said you "HAVE" to love WoW to like PvP and proved that by saying I like PvP ... now on the note of hearing me say I was going to leave ..well if you look at all those events I was mad about something or was having RL troubles and couldn't play... This is different ,I am NOT mad or having(tomany) RL probs. This is a clear statment that I WILL leave if WoW style comunity comes here because if WoW had been my first exp in MMO's I wouldn't bother with them anymore ...
And Komi I like that Trykers are helping cus I love Trykers
AND because it was absalutly no fun to be at a completely one sided op battle..
Now hopefully that cleared stuff up.
P.S.Please stop bringing up each time I got depressed or whatever and was going to quit. When I really am going to quit you will know because it'll be its own thread not hidden in a bunch of argueing.

We're not "bringing it up" - you did. I just think it casts a very negative aura on the forums to read that every day.
I
promise to never talk about your leaving comments if you don't make any

Oh and Cyrish, I don't have anything against PVP. I just don't engage in it without a good reason.
