On one side the community doesn't "allow" OP's to be attacked.

So, those outpost battles our guild has helped in - one to defend a level 50 matis outpost, one to defend the level 200 matis outpost (2 for 2), and two to take other outposts (1 for 1 there) aren't allowed? If that's the community policy, enforcement to date has been rather lax and the 'law' certainly has not been published anywhere.

On the other side it is accepted by the community that one guild can own multiple OPs. I heard there are even 2 member guilds having outposts.

Shocking! Maybe, on the other hand, they have lots of friends or allies they share with, who in turn help them keep the outposts? Always an option for your guild as well.

Given the fact that the elevation crystals are the most important commodity these days I think its not fair play. Leveling is not very easy and I dont wanna play a for a year doing something that someone else can do in 6 months.

Either make a rotation system of owning OP's or accept the fact that OP's can be attacked (what they were designed for). I think its real easy to promote peace when you own your own outpost.

Outposts are being attacked, it's happened oh, on average about every three days. Where have you been when all this fighting's been going down? If you don't participate and help your allies or friends in these outpost wars, don't expect much from them in return. As for the false declaration exploit, devs are aware this is a problem and soon, will make the false declaration more difficult to exploit. In a perfect world it would be impossible, but who's perfect?

Personally i dont like PvP and prefer some kind of rotation system but atm its all very hypocritical.

Any form of rotation or outpost trading system would require alot of careful negotiation among the haves and the have nots. What motive has your guild given any group controlling outposts to trust you enough to include you in a possible rotation system? Oh, yeah... and would your guild have the backing to defend an outpost when (not if, when) another allied group decides to challenge your claim on it?

I'm not sure posting a thread with the title "lousy community" is going to help you or your guild put together any such system, or be welcomed in to ones that are probably already being quietly discussed.

(OOC:
No, you're wrong Sumsum. We fought the 1st battle which required alot of effort on our part to organise friends and allies, and a lot of effort on their part as well. Maintaining good trade and other relations is also a full-time job.

After getting the outpost one person guild declared on us so we again got all our allies (we're not a huge guild that can just order all our members to turn up) to show up but the attacker didn't.

Then another guild declared war on one of our allies at 12am Christmas morning. Another no-show obviously. This same guild then heard about our tactic and tried to get in on the action, offering to do us the service for OP mats. When we said no, they started stirring it up on the forums.

Then after the servers went down another so called factional guild simultaneously declared war on all our allies, from the same faction. Another no-show.

Each war declaration requires alot of effort on our part. The system is broken so that it's easy for griefers to weaken your alliance by consistently wasting their time and also leaving your outpost to be under attack from anyone else who is out to get you. There is a workaround that is being employed by a number of guilds. It has never been stated as an exploit, we have openly said we will stop if it ever IS declared an exploit. We are also the most open guild about discussing this and other OP matters.

We also do a lot of trade and giveaways but we simply can't supply everyone, there is a finite limit to the mats. We are also not paying for a religious war, we have no ulterior motive. Most people ingame know all this, sadly it seems the same few on the forums just want to turn this into mudslinging. I don't think we've received any ingame messages about this if people think the issues are so serious. Better to post publicly and try to turn casual readers against your target eh?

You better stop it then. To my mind at least, if its being fixed to prevent it happening then its an exploit ;)

To my mind at least, saying the same thing over and over again is trolling and you should be permanently banned just as grimjim was.

But neither you nor I work for Nevrax so let's just agree to disagree ;)

So, let me get this straight, you want to turn the one really exciting thing to do in game right now into a kindergarten nicey nice play thing?
The outposts were meant to be fought over, that's the whole idea. If everyone was meant to have one you'd be able to buy them as a guild option or something along those lines.
I find ryzom refreshing in that it rewards effort, and does not attempt to make everything "fair". I just left a game a few months ago where those who worked hard got nerfed by the "whiners" bending the ears of the dev's.
If someone is doing something you don't like, in game, ever considered doing something about it, in game?
If you’re seeking to pay a monthly fee to mindlessly grind and BS with your friends, that's cool, and there is nothing to keep you from doing that here.
Just don't try and tell me how to play because you don't want to work for the rewards.

Guess its only in Fyros then. I just would like to be able to attack an OP without getting the whole community on my back.

I must add i am not speaking for my guild. This is a personal view on the matter. And again.. I don't mind if the community gets upset about it but then that same community should share all resources equally and not keep it for themselves. (I am not talking about all guilds some do share a bit)
