I'm glad to see that the general consensus on the thread has been positive. It must have just been a couple of bad luck days that got us as we've not had any more incidents since I created this thread. I'd just like to point out that this wasnt a thread for bashing NA players or the merge. Some of the people involved in these instances were euro players so STOP with the bashing of the NA guys ok. :) The merge has been a positive thing as far as I'm concerned just wanted to see if other people had noticed players attitudes changing, I'm glad to see that its not widespread.

This is the effect of pvp, gvg... We do not care about the kitins no more. There are more aggro spawns, but there isn't a invasion or such. We need a coop goal. That will change the attitude.

So, in your oppinion we should divide ourselves in about 40 (or more) factions who only help their members? Imo is no better way to see Atys deserted in less than 2 months.

And about my post and responses. What I'm saying is that behaviour was VERY rare before merge. Almost nill. Now has become rather common as long as players started to complain about it. Could be a coincidence? Maybe. In that case I am wrong and I'll present my apologies. Or maybe not and in that case your accusations of lack of maturity are out of point.
Only time can tell.

To all those people accusing "all" Windermeer people of being jerks, immature, and what nots, that just shows your lack of maturity and close minded attitude. Generally speaking, before the merge, the Windermeer community was much like the Arispotle community with a lower population. People were nice, friendly, helpful, considerate and willing to risk their life and limb to come to one's aid when one was down. That is not to say that Windermeer didn't have people that weren't "bad apples", but to generalize one group of people as all being bad is just bliss ignorance. Every culture and nation has people that either in RL or GL are jerks or just don't want to be helpful....which there is a difference between a jerk and a person who just doesn't want to bother.

Personally I'm a rezzing freak. I enjoy helping people and coming to someone's aid. That is just me and the way I like to play. Not everyone is like that though. I would also like to add, I have yet to see this behavior although something similar happened to me last night.

Last night after the Merger Celebration Party in the city of Windermeer, I decided to do some exploring and just generally see who was where and try to meet some more peeps I hadn't met all week so I teleported to Pyr in Fyros since I hadn't been home in awhile. I was running from Pyr to Dyron passing through Oflavok's Oasis on the road on the other side of the Kami TP when some poor bloke ran by me and aggroed a group of cloppers on me. Now, normally this wouldn't have been a problem for me, but unfortunately, I only had my casting armor on and valiantly fought to the death since I was surrounded and trapped and couldn't run for the water. No worries though, there are 5 blue dots all within 250m of me. I called out I need a rez xxxMeters from xxxLocation please and my time is xMinutesxSeconds. No response so I waited patiently. I did the /who command and their were just 5 peeps in my region...all the blue dots showing in my radar. I sent a tell to the two closest since i was down to 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I get a response from one of the two peeps closest to me....Zelig I think(can't remember cause I was a little intoxicated)...say 125meters or so. I knew they were leveling, in a battle and he said hang on, be there as quick as I can. Unfortunately, I ran out of time. Yes, I was a little upset, not at Zelig and his buddy though as they were in a battle, as my dp is around 330,000 per death or there abouts, but easy come easy go. I worked off my dp and cooled down. Why couldn't those people come and rez me? Who knows.....although I know one group of two people, of which one of the members was the one that messaged me, was in a battle and couldn't. The players could have been new and/or new to the area and not known how to get to me, some might have been afk, others might not could have made it from where they were, and still others might not have been paying attention to region chat.

This is the first time in a long time I had peeps on my radar and wasn't able to get a rez. Consequently, I could easily presume and accuse Arispotle veterans of not coming to my rescue. The fact of the matter, that this would be poor judgement and thinking on my part. It is simply not true. I just had bad luck. Plain and simple.

I urge people not to start wildly accusing large groups of people. If one has a close minded view of other groups of peoples in RL, keep it there please. I play Ryzom to get away from all that childish nonsense. Fortunately, I have yet to meet such people ingame that have this view of us Windermeer Wayfarers, and I hope it stays that way.

Edit and note: excuse any grammatical and spelling errors as I'm still hung over from the Merger Celebration. :)

You are missing the point here guys. I'm not talking about people who dont rez other people. No one force you to rez someone. I'm talking about players who deliberately harm other players in non PvP/GvG areas.
First attitude can be found anywhere, and I don't even bother to ask for a rez in region chat if I don't see blue dots in a 50m range.
Second attitude is a certain break of EULA (harassment) and can be punished. I'm not looking for revenge, just trying to correct things. I was speaking about second atitude.

come on guys its an online game does it really matter where ppl live irl? :)
cant we all just get along? i mean we have one thing in common atleast, we all like and play ryzom, im always happy to rez people when their in the same area as me :) but its not an automatic thing to expect a rez when you die. i think we should just be a little more understanding the merge was a big change for all of us and as far as i can see its really helped the game in most situations so dont flame at each other, we're stuck togeather so we might aswell get along :)

Outposts, GvG and Alliances....

Since being in an alliance of guilds my attitude did change from 'rez anyone' to 'its more RP fun to rez alliance members'. In a way this makes me less likely to want to rez non-alliance folk. This attitude is just a natural result of some RP element.

So my point to keep on topic....

Perhaps the sudden influx of new faces has just made us pause and rethink our rezzing preferences. We are a bit overwhelmed for a while, but as we get to know each other things will equal out between players again.

Of course, just as soon as we are a big happy family again, outposts will no doubt turn the tables over!

I agree that too many times people just say things like 'could someone heal me?' No location, nothing helpful. People really do need to learn to give location straight away to save valuable time while the person trying to save them asks where they are.

GIVE YOUR LOCATION PEOPLE! e.g. 'could some one rez me near fourways please?'

I agree with you so much! I had someone shouting on region the other day for a rez. In Fleeting Garden. Now, I had my mount with me at the time, so no-where was out of my reach. When we asked where it was just "By the Kipees". We're not mind-readers! I checked out 7 yellows on my radar and all proved to be dead creatures, not downed homins! Never did find out what happened to the guy. No answer at all. If someone is within my range, even if I must run through hell to get to them, I will do my damnedest to get them on their feet.

I've been involved in only one instance where people who could easily have rez'd outright refusing to rez someone (with the reason given that "it's not our problem"), and in that case it was an EE guild, not a guild from Windermeer server. And I've been playing since the start of OB.

Well I rezzed a team of Melinoe last night at Thesos. I got a quick sap-heal back from one player at the end but not a peep of thanks. Not a smattering of good old english "what ho jolly well done chap thank you do come again".

Perhaps the NA lot just get on with the game and cant be arsed typing pleasentries. So IMO they are not rude but just play differently. In fact, in gaming terms they are rockets!

However, being feeble minded, Tember shall think twice before rezzing that lot again. But, beeing feeble of heart also, will likely thank them for the chance to rez them. I mean, DoubleTap is in Melinoe, now if yer going to rez someone, rez a legend!
